LC did NOT say neighbor, 'snoopy' did..and if you start looking at relatives then Pandoras box opens wide on one hand......... but I would find it impossible to speculate on the other hand, that would be her relatives.......NO WAY....!!!!!

Sorry Zero if I was vague...I in no way meant to imply LC said neighbors...I knew Snoopy did...I was referring to LC telling us to think out of the box....

Rotten_Cotton, O.K. I see what yu are saying and that does make sense.
I think if we are looking in the wrong direction we need to consider other
options:
Family members
Former cell mates
Ex boyfriends/girlfriend
Drug customer/dealer
Bad car deal
snitching or stealing from someone
Wow, it could be anyone in Ohio! Apparently it is noone we have discussed a lot, but think J & L knew them.
Cross checking on FB friends we would proably find names of killer. Everyone seemed to discount Lisa's ex-
boyfriend cuz he was at funeral; maybe LE wanted to take a look at him and that is why he was there.

How about the workers at tgi Fridays . That would be the only other circumstance, IMO! Someone that is on a day to day with one of these two victims.

Pspence? A change of heart towards me? BFFs again. Well, since you asked about thinking outside the box... I actually did a little research a while back and checkd for sex offenders in that area. Didn't find anything but pedophiles (that is bad enough). I thought maybe it could have been a neighbor or someone in the area with a past. Still could be. I have wondered if the Straubs had any work done in their home and maybe one of the workers. The one thing that has made me stick with the " theory" of someone in their group of people was the FBI profile that was posted in the Blade a few weeks after it happened. Same age group and type. IMO I think more than one person. The drugs was just too coincidental. IMO. The brutality.. too personal. Alot of anger there. If it wasnt personal why not just shoot them or cut the throats. Get it over with. Thanks for the compliment by the way. I forgive you. LOL

pspence... I have laid awake asking my self the " out of the box". I thought who knew the straubs were going to be gone? Did the Straubs owe people money? Did one of the neighbors have it out for them. I always come back to " there had to be more than one person... I think vendetta against the Straubs, nah. I think how do drug addicts act... Yeah, I think and know for a crime with this much rage.... Not a crime of passsion, a jealous ex boyfriend would have possibly killed Lisa and Johnny but put more of his rage towards Johnny even if he killed Lisa and that would have been alone. Double homicides of this nature (IMO) arent the work of a serial killer. Although there have been serial killers that have worked in pairs. This is highly unusual. Fact and IMO

This is so freakin' frustrating...it only makes sense it was someone "in their orbit who knew parents were out of town, it was personal, involved drugs & $"...we've named every possible person (i should say initials)...I can't imagine unless it was someone who worked with Lisa...from her they knew parents were out of town...followed her home...maybe eaten up with jealousy...I'm totally STUMPED! Please LC...can you give us any more HINTS?????

I had an very intersting read about ten years ago.. The book titled "Mind Hunter" by John Douglas. He was key in the beginning of FBI profiling. Profiling all came to be by Douglas interviewing serial killers and finding out first hand, in their own words why they did the crimes they did. That is why I had posted a while back to try to put ourselves in the mind of the murderer(s). Check it out.

Yes, I thought about them being followed home also but then I thought whoever it was had to have known the layout of the house or knew there was an alarm but sometimes there are alarm stickers in house windows and such from previous owners. It is my understanding and this is not fact that the Straubs alarm was not activated. If they knew the Straubs on an intimate, friends basis they would have known that. I have been baffled by the wires being cut. If the perps knew there was an alarm and since everyone has access to the internet, if I were going to commit a crime and knew the person had an alarm I would either A. look up how a home alarm works or B. Call around acting like I was interested in getting one to ask the questions I needed the answers to. If they had done this they would have found out if the wires were cut it would have triggered the alarm. Unless it was wireless. IMO.

LC I agree but It does get frustrating when we only have so much info. You are right to state that sometimes the obvious isnt always the obvious.

I had a theory about a thousand pages back. I don't believe anyone commented on it and I guess I pushed it to the side for some reason. It is just a thought outside of the box so I don't want anyone to get bent out of shape. Isn't it possible that Lisa and Johnny were involved? Not in their own death, of course, but in setting up a robbery. We have all heard of people who have their cars stolen or homes burned down for the insurance money. What if Johnny or Johnny and Lisa were desperate for money(as many abusers/addicts are) and they arranged for some of their friends or aquaintences to rob the house and take computers, tv's, etc.....sell these items and they would split the money with J and L. Or what if one of them had a debt and that was the only way they could pay them. Lisa could tell her parents that the house was robbed while they were gone. Maybe that is why the documents were out..so that J and L could figure out how to disarm it so LE wouldn't be alerted. Maybe Johnny or Johnny and Lisa said "come hit this house...there is alot of stuff here you could fence" Maybe they said "tie us up to make it look real" then Lisa's parents would really believe it. Maybe they used Tiff as a way to make cops believe it was real. Maybe the perps went there with the arranged plan in mind, but decided to take all their money and drugs and demand to get to the "safe" that they heard about. Or maybe tiff was part of the plan and her role was to give LE info that someone unknown to J and L was indeed in the home. Maybe the perps were furious that the house didn't have enough good stuff to fence or they discovered there was no safe or they were convinced there was a safe and J and L refused to tell them. Maybe that's when things went horribly wrong and the perps got violent with Johnny. Maybe Johnny said " the plan is off..get the fuck out. They wouldn't leave..they grabbed Lisa and use her as leverage to get Johnny to talk. Things got out of control and they had to be silenced because J and L could identify them. Maybe the people that were sent were friends of friends and J and L really didn't know them...they strayed from the original plan to simply take a tv or computer. I know my theory may sound absolutely bizarre to some of you, but it wouldn't be the first time that something like this has happened. I know it sounds like a Lifetime movie plot to some! JMO

John Douglas is THE MAN...trying to take his advice and get "in the mind of the killers"...I keep going back to the percs...I just read about 4 unrelated cases of Pharmacies being robbed for oxy's and percs (anything opium related)...one Pharmacist even got shot/killed....they are so raged they just jump over the counter and attack the pharmacist...

Pspence I try to think outside but I keep coming back to the drugs and how addicts act when they are feining. I also keep thinking that I am missing something. Kind of like when a person misplaces something and thinks "too hard" to find it yet when they stop thinking about it they find what they were looking for right under their noses. Something is missing in this whole picture yet, I cant pinpoint it.

Earlier in the posts - someone who claimed to know Johnny said something about everyone knew he owed people $$$....

might have been some big dealer that showed up "okay sick of you putting us off....pay up or we're going to ...." and Johnny didn't have any $$....

or could have bought some bad dope...I remember in college we all chipped in and bought some pot and smoked it - was like smoking dirt/oregano...we were super pisst but blew it off...imagine same scenario but involved hardenend thugs that were strung out and felt J had ripped them off... maybe killer sent someone to the party...or back to snitching...could have been guy in cell with that none of us have any idea of name and "ain't on Facebook"...

Edit to add to my theory. Maybe Maytee knew of this plot I suggested and that is why she was certain something "bad happened" Maybe she knew that Tiff was part of it and that is why she make the comments to her .."you set my son up. Just another thought.

Well IMO if he owed someone money they would have sent him a message in an ass beating or something. The last thing they would have done was kill him. Then they would have never got their money. Maybe they went to rob the house as a message and got interrupted. Then no choice.

What is it about this case that just obsesses me? LC said she's seen more compelling cases...I can't think of one that has ever grabbed me like this one...they're just so cute together...so obviously in love...just soooo tragic the way they were killed...the affluent area....Gosh I hope an arrest comes soon...I'm sure I'm boring everyone to tears just babbling...guess I better go to bed...
