Thanks to everyone! about the Electronic Billboards being back up - I think that helps to keep the story fresh in peoples minds anyway! some tip may be called in.

The duct tape - does anyone know if the fingerprints were lifted off it? are those prints back?

Lets hope the new Detective coming on board just finds some clue that was missed - and maybe it isn't a group of people involved maybe it's a loner - maybe it has nothing to do with drugs, robbery all that and its plain hate and revenge. I can't imagine living over there and how the neighbours must be suffering also, turning the light off to go to bed and who ever did this is still out there.

Adub good point, but still a lot of controversy surrounding both Sherrif Telb and the soon to be retiree Det S. How ironic to retire in the middle of prob one of the biggest and def most interesting double murder cases in this part of the country.

she's retiring because she stands to loose thousands in retirement with the passage of SB 5 here in Ohio.... there's a going to be a mass exodus of public employees in the upcoming months. It's a good thing and a bad thing... but that's a whole nother topic.

Sheriff Telb is controversial (IMO) .... and he has cronies that work for him, but they are not all bad...

not that this has anything to do with this case...but I think that I read somewhere that the duct tape used on Casey Anthony's daughter..Caylee (sp ?)... had NO fingerprints, or at least didn't have her, Casey's, fingerprints on it. maybe duct tape isn't as good as evidence collector as previously thought.

i think the duct tape on Caylee was submerged in water for some time. that could obscure prints.

IMO, JC sr, might have accidentally destroyed, or interfered with some of the evidence by taking the bags off. This is quarterbacking now because if it was my kid I would've done the same, but if any DNA or possible latent prints could have been ruined. Now if anyone is to blame because of this IMO, LE is the one who didn't protect and serve the crime scene. IMO.

Sonny, if any evidence was inadvertently compromised by Johnny's father, it was before the police arrived, they can't be faulted for not preserving the scene before they got there. i am sure they secured the scene immediately after arriving.

prints and DNA would still be present, even with Johnny's father removing the plastic. his prints can be eliminated from consideration during inspection of items.

Oh I understand now LC, by me saying LE didn't protect and serve, IMO, LE kinda dropped the ball a little bit. Why wasn't Maytee's phone calls to 911 taken more seriously by LE? Why didn't LE stay until someone kicked the door in, like how JC sr did. IMO 2 calls to 911 , and the info Maytee gave them, should of rang some bells in LE head that this sounds very very weird. Probable cause can be "made" sometimes to kick a door in for the fact of lives can be at stake here! IMO, plenty doors have been kicked in for less than a phone call or two to 911.

this has been discussed... the police had no probable cause to 'kick in the door'. there was nothing amiss, so to speak when the cops got to the house on longacre lane. and as far as the crime scene, the police would have released the crime scene for clean up. the clean up crew would not have been able to clean up the house just cause the family was on their way home.

I don't mean to beat a dead horse...but what makes you think that they rushed it... and didn't go through the house with a fine tooth comb?

BEFORE LE lets crime scene clean up begin, they have to release the scene, meaning that they've gathered what they need, taken photos, samples, visuals, notes, etc.

Ok, hair samples for instance could be on the bottom of JC sr shoe for all we know, how do we know that anything wasn't in fact compromised by anyone before LE got back to the Longacre road for the 3rd time? Anything could be compromised by people that entered this home previous to LE securing it! Which was how long until LE returned for the last time? IMO, maybe this is why it could be taking longer than it should. All IMO.

Sonny223 I thought also it was a bit hasty in cleaning up, but I asked Lady Cop and she said the LE has to sign a release before anyone cleans - maybe some relatives wanted to hurry up with the cleaning also because the Straubs were returning home - I am not trying to upset anyone here this is only an opinion of mine. Lets hope a print gets lifted yet from this duct tape - the FBI and BCI are top notch guys I thought they were helping in this case! I am wondering still about this white van LOL did a neighbour spot it or what? You fired off some good questions Sonny223.

IMO, I'm guessing that the perps got into the house right after JC left to pick up LS. Nobody is home everything is good, now a little time goes by enough to ransack the place looking for cash, a safe, the holes are put in the walls, vents off at this point! JC and LS get home perps get scared and hide. TW calls JC in the middle of LS changing, JC says he is leaving to pick her up, maybe just saying that to get off the phone with her, reality leaving in like 5 minutes. JC hears or sees something out of order from how it should be. Goes to inspect , who are you, what are you doing, comes in to play, that's when the perps get JC quietly or not, LS then gets attacked by another perp the only reason is because JC or LS seen something like a robbery happened in the home. Then bags over the heads, perps leave them to die because there faces are known friends or associates of either JC or LS. There was no gun to shoot them with because the home should have been vacant. Bags and tape are the only things the perps have at the house to use. All IMO, and in only takes maybe 15 minutes tops from when JC and LS get home for the perps to be gone, they walked into a Robbery in Progress!

Now why would anybody hiding there true identity need to be snooping on a page that Maytee made. Could it be because someone is looking to see what new information that Maytee has on the case? Someone that could be involved in the crime? Because people that commit crimes like to return back to the crime scene, watch the news, be part of a thread to see what new leads or "inside information" is out.
