I am pretty sure that the Straubs are getting more respect from cops just based on their day to day lifestyle. Plus, I bet that the Straubs haven't ever been involved in any sick twisted crap like the Clarks have in their past. Here is a small glimpse of the Clarks lifestyle: Rumor has it that years ago Maytee and big John were involved in a kidnapping of some drug dealer who owed them money....and that person was (allegedly) taped to a chair and doused with gasoline. Maytee alegedly forced him to beg for his life before letting him go. This rumor has been well known by neighbors, friends and family for years. I am only using the word "rumor" simply because I can't verify first hand if it has any truth because the Clarkes are full of a lot of B-S....even though it was heard first hand straight from the mouth of Mr. Clarke. Now, after the double murders have taken place....it seems like a lot of the rumors which have been circulation for years could possible have some truth to them.

I do not necessarily think LE knows the killer, but I tend to think that they are sharing more with the Straubs since they are keeping quiet and letting them do their job. I don't believe they would share who the killer is with the family prior to an arrest, but I think they may be sharing more about the investigation.

Once again, makes me respect the Straubs very very much.

That is whole different crowd than the fb "friends" mentioned here. Not sure what part of Toledo these individuals are from. Something about Manhatten (St). Can't remember the x-road. But I'm going to check them out.

Part ON, Part OFF TOPIC.

A former employee's son (age 25 - I will call him Blue) (month ago) got out of
prison in Ohio...called me on his way home from prison from Hooter's, so excited he
was eating with a fork for the first time in five years. He was in there for
selling a play station to some man and pulling a gun on him for his money.
(no play station). FIVE YEARS. I finally found out that much of the time was
because he had a gun, but there was NO BREAK for him because the cops
knew he had accomplices and he would not give up their names. These
birds kept him in money while he was in prison. Anyway, the week before
he came home, one of the accomplices was shot by a cop and paralyzed for life.

He has called me again a couple times. The conversations have been unsettling.
I was in SHOCK at the lack of language skills this young man now has. He has
no real ability to hold a conversation and no matter what I said to him, he
says, 'Yeaaaaha' in this grovely voice. Does anyone have any experience with
recently released prisoners and the stages they go through? He says he is
"Chillin' - hasn't looked for a job 'cause i ain't gonna git one anyway yeaaha.'

It is obvious they want me to take him under my wing as I am hundreds
of miles away and it would get him away from his former friends. I am no
longer in a position to offer jobs, however.

This made me think of Johnny, and how quickly he got out of jail, and how
in the world does the x girlfriend of the X, get house arrest for a gun? It
is baffling me. My former employee's kid had no record.

Johnny had no gun and he served approx. 1⁄2 of his time. Which is normal if you act right.
The thing with the gun is it is a mandatory 3 years with no break.
AP's x is innocent until proven guilty.

in my former jurisdiction, Florida, we enforced '10-20-life' rule. 44 mandated.

10-20-LIFE

* Mandates a minimum 10 year prison term for certain felonies, or attempted felonies in which the offender possesses a firearm or destructive device
* Mandates a minimum 20 year prison term when the firearm is discharged
* Mandates a minimum 25 years to LIFE if someone is injured or killed
* Mandates a minimum 3 year prison term for possession of a firearm by a felon
* Mandates that the minimum prison term is to be served consecutively to any other term of imprisonment imposed

No, Eastside of Toledo is south of the maumee river. Lagrange st. Is the North end of Toledo .

Great Job as always Adub - East or West who knows heroin still can get over to South Toledo and just one of these nasty people may have connections to a lower level distributor, Johnny & Lisa are dead and why? could these kids have tried heroin? all very scarey - I know they are not on the fb friends but, I wouldn't rule none of these weasels out.

I'm getting this info from 2 sources, Toledo Blade & channel 13 Toledo. The heroin ring has been in operation in Toledo as early as 2001. FBI says another 15 suspects facing State charges for a total of over 30 arrests. The suspects are from Toledo, Perrysburg and Sylvania Township. HEROIN WORTH $11 MILLION brought from Mexco & Calif. They started working on this case in 2008. At least half of the defendants are in someway related. They are mostly families who have been involved for years in drugs. I took note of the fact that two of the defendants have the last name Vasquez.

It had been nearly 18 years since a man attacked and raped a 10-year-old girl as she rode her bike in a wooded area in Sylvania Township during the summer of 1993 on her way to a friend's ball game.

Tuesday, after a two-day trial and about 30 minutes of jury deliberations, someone was finally held accountable for the crime.

Bradley Roberts, 45, of Toledo was found guilty by a Lucas County Common Pleas Court jury of one count each of rape, kidnapping, and gross sexual imposition. Because the victim was under the age of 13 at the time of the assault, Roberts faces life in prison when sentenced June 10 by Judge James Jensen.

"Some people say justice delayed is justice denied but in this case, the justice was delayed but it was not denied," said Jeff Lingo, chief of the criminal division of the prosecutor's office and a prosecutor on the case. "The jury listened very carefully to the evidence and now, almost 18 years later, [the victim] can sleep well at night."

The jury of 10 women and two men heard evidence from nine witnesses over two days, including testimony from the victim, now 28. They also saw aerial photos of the wooded area, just yards away from Hill View Elementary and Arbor Hills Junior High School, where the July 9, 1993, assault occurred.

Wiping away tears and struggling to keep her body from shaking, the victim recounted how she was riding her bike, the first time she had been given permission to go somewhere alone, to the fields about a mile away from her house when she was attacked and raped by a man who covered her face and threatened her not to tell.

She was only 10 years old at the time.

"I was scared to death," she testified Monday. "I just didn't want him to kill me."

The victim, who was in court with family and friends to hear the verdict, declined to comment. The Blade does not identify victims of sexual assault.

At the time of the assault, the victim gave a description of her assailant and evidence was collected during a medical exam, but investigators could not develop any suspects. The case went cold.

Sylvania Township police Detective Tina Seney testified Tuesday that with the advances in DNA, the department sent the "rape kit" assembled by a nurse during the exam of the victim to a state laboratory for analysis. It was then determined that the swabs showed DNA from both the victim and an unknown male. Sylvania Township police reopened the case in 2010 while reviewing evidence in the property room.

"In the course of our investigation, Bradley Roberts became a possible suspect," she said. Police then executed a search warrant for Roberts' DNA, which was sent to the state lab for comparison.

An analyst from the Ohio Attorney General's Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation testified Tuesday that when compared, Roberts' DNA was found to be "consistent" with the DNA found on the victim. More specifically, analyst Cassandra Agosti testified that the likelihood of anyone else having this profile is one in 1.197 billion or nearly 10 times the male population in the United States.

During closing arguments, Roberts' lawyer, John Thebes, noted that despite several witnesses, "most of [the state's] case has not even mentioned Bradley Roberts. He asked jurors to focus on the fact that although 10 of the 15 locations tested during DNA analysis were consistent with Roberts, there were five points on a DNA strand that were too deteriorated to gather information.

He described the case as a "statistical prosecution" that was "heavy on numbers, light on evidence."

Mr. Thebes declined to comment after the verdict.

Mr. Lingo countered the defense argument by asking the jury to consider how "huge" a number the statistical likelihood is. He then questioned who would take lottery odds if the payout was one in 1.197 billion.

"Just because he was not arrested at the time doesn't mean that we won't catch them," he said after the verdict. "If we can prosecute a case and we have the evidence, we are going to go forward."

I dont know why I am thinking about this now but when I was a teenager around 15 I hung out with a girl named Michelle. She lived with her aunt and uncle, her mother had problems and I dont know what they were. After a while she started hanging out with the wrong crowd and we lost touch. She was a very beautiful girl.. flawless skin, dark curly hair. On the quiet side. Well when she was 18 or 19 they found her murdered with her head smashed in. Her uncle was also a detective with TPD. To this day it is unsolved. Another thing I remember is one of the police officers that patroled our area had a wife who worked at the local dairy mart and while on duty he got a call of a robbery with the clerk being shot and killed. He rushed to the scene and the other officers had to hold him back because it was his wife. She knew the perp and he had been in and out of trouble and even recognized him under the mask and he still killed her. Definatley solved. Just thought I would share.

Food for thought... If our goverment has satellites with real time imaging why cant they calculate the latitude and longitude to zoom in on the Straub household the night of the murders? Think about it. Satellites are everywhere recording US date. They watched where Bin laded was hiding in real time. It is all recorded. computerized. Let me do some reseach and I will be back
