DAs frequently consult with the family of a murder victim regarding doing a plea bargain versus going for the more severe charge. DAs have taken the death penalty off the table at the request of families of murder victims.

This case was so horrific that, IMO, there would be a public outcry if the DA didn't go for the death penalty - unless it was at the request of the victims' families.

If Johnny's family is screaming for the DP and the Straubs are against the DP and want LWOP, it will be interesting to see what happens.

Even if he does get the death penalty, it will be yeeeaarrss before he is put to death, there usually, i think, (correct me if wrong) is a long waiting list. And IMO there is just no possible way he IS NOT connected to the crime, whether driving the murderers or him being the murderer himself. Because Im sorry, but if I was wrongfully accused of a crime and my bond was set at 5 MILLION?? Id be freeeeakkking out in court, balling my eyes out. Not calm like him. He knows he was involved, and he's caught. Hes screwed. And I can almost GUARANTEE that if he "snitches" and tells who else is involved, there is nothing NO ONE can do or say to get him the death penalty.

poor Julia Bates. it hasn't even been transferred to that court yet. maytee nearly fucked up the investigation, now she's going to fuck up the trial. before it even begins. she simply cannot help being as stupid as a houseplant. OR maybe maytee has a reason to muddy the waters?

i know before arrest i said no more posting maytee facebook drivel. i don't like giving her free press. but if it's about this defendant and trial, ok. it could be relevant.

Maytee has tried over and again to say that Johnny was a perfect child
and never did wrong, even going so far as to say it was Lisa's fault that
Johnny died. She IS trying to hide something...and has been from day one
when she was on Nancy Grace and being interviewed by local media.
I dont think she so much as needs to hide her own past ( which she has
done her fair share of doing for sure!!), but she has gone above and
beyond to protect her son's past and memory.

I cant even imagine, at this point, what kinda shit is gonna hit the fan...
but Ill bet it gets the next hurricane name...and its gonna be heavy enough
to break some umbrellas.

Also,how they have used their daughters photos,with the angel wings,the hearts,the poems,etc... is amazing to me. Lisa may have been her sons girlfriend but she is their daughter.

I believe the photos are to thwart the critics and criticism when Maytee threw Lisa under the bus to divert attention away from her son's criminal past. She chose to point the finger at Lisa, on national TV, to avoid answering questions regarding Johnny's prison stint and past criminal behavior.

Maytee claimed she and the whole family are receiving grief counseling.

Go back and read some of her rants against Mock and the members. She removed them after comments were made on this site. Pussy.

Yup . . . I'm sure she follows, to the letter, what her grief counselor prescribes. hah
