Make no mistake, the only people responsible for this crime are the ones who chose to commit it. Texas born and raised, I am all about the death penalty and pray that comes to those who committed this crime. Regardless of their upbringing, I do not feel the death penalty is "vengeance" nor do I see it in biblical terms. to me it what is effective. Face it, Ted Bundy was in jail when he broke out and killed more people. Obviously, that is not effective. Since he has been executed, how many has he killed???? NONE Now that is effective!!!

What Maytee said from the beginning is that her son was not connected to the murders. She said this because not only did the media immediately point to him, but because TW was a friend of Lisa's. And, because she had concerns that Lisa reportedly violent X was involved. I never heard her blame Lisa or the Straubs. She talked about the "demons" responsible from the beginning. She also retaliated against the incognito assaults and innuendo here and other places.

Who thinks like me? My position is that both families deserve compassion and sympathy given the horror they've experienced. I would venture to guess that most Americans think like me, in this regard.

and let us not forget the nearly immediate attempted clarke suit against the Straubs' homeowners insurance. it seems johnny had his high-end electronics, ipod, 62" flat-screen TV, laptop, blackberry, stereo system, diamond jewelry he was going to give Lisa, and Rolex collection there in their nasty unsafe ghetto neighborhood suburban house, as well as his custom Ferrari, and the thugs stole those! that was certainly not greedy and grasping and fraudulent! it was out of concern for another family who had lost their dearly-departed and beloved-by-maytee child. how very kind, caring and sensitive. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$


please note sarcasm before asking me about Johnny's 'belongings' that were 'stolen'. i won't discuss it.
