We can't condemn them for being savages and then kill them in the same manner the savages do and not be savages ourselves. You can't have it both ways. Having said that, yes, he deserves to pay for his crime with his life. No doubt about it.

My little girl is 7, and if I squint my eyes, this little one could be my daughter. Very similar.

I don't know how I'd get through the rest of my life if I knew she had suffered and died like that.

And, I don't know how I'd keep myself from seeking vengeance.

RE: Rampant Abuse and Murders of Children - HairOfTheDog - 11-24-2015

^ I totally understand that mindset, MS.

And, I get what Duchess is saying too -- the only thing you'd get from savaging the savage would be (potentially) immediate gratification, and then a lifetime paying for it.

But, I think you could hold yourself back because you wouldn't want to lose your daughter and then have your son and wife lose you.

It's actually hurting my heart to type this. I don't like to think of your family ever facing what Gabbi's parents are going through. Her mom was barely holding it together at the arraignment and her dad was seething.

RE: Rampant Abuse and Murders of Children - Midwest Spy - 11-24-2015

HotD, what those parents are going through is unimaginable. They'll also wonder the rest of their lives how they could've done things differently at that football game.

I just can't get past the evil that some people are able to perpetrate. Baffles my mind.

I think something like that would make me lose my mind. I'd go completely batshit crazy with no self control.

I can't think of anything worse than a parent having to think about everyday of their life what that piece of garbage did to their innocent precious child.

This is another heart breaker; maddening to read and imagine what the baby went through.

Police said 16-month-old Sawyer Jefferson of Oklahoma was left in the care of her mother's boyfriend while the mother was working on Saturday.

The mother's live-in boyfriend, Cody Johnson - 30 ^, called her and told her to come home because Sawyer had sustained a serious injury.

The child's mother took her to the emergency room at Saint Francis, where the hospital staff placed little Sawyer on life support -- the child was unresponsive and in cardiac arrest. The hospital staff immediately knew that Sawyer was a victim of abuse and called police.

The toddler had "numerous visible facial contusions and bruising and bleeding coming from both the child's vagina and rectum," the police report states. The only explanation given by Johnson was that the child "slipped on her pajamas and fell on a toy," the arresting officer said.

Police said Johnson was the only one home with the child, and they have no reason to believe the child's mother knew about the abuse. That's why she was not arrested. “Often times, we find these type of situations where we find some volatility in these relationships, maybe domestic issues, but I don't know of any in this case," Smith said.

The vile piece of shit, Cody Johnson, was arrested on Sunday for child physical abuse, child sexual abuse, and first degree murder.

Another 7-year-old was killed at a school sporting event by a family friend last week. This one sounds like a case of untreated mental illness, but nonetheless tragic.

On December 5th, 7-year-old ^ Emma Watson Nowling (right, RIP) of Michigan was shot in the head in the school parking lot after her soccer practice and died later the same night.

Her mother, 37-year-old ^ Sharon Elizabeth Watson (left), was also shot and remains in serious condition.

The suspect, 57-year-old Timothy Nelson Obeshaw, was found dead at the scene after police allege, according to a witness statement, that he fired into Watson's car multiple times before shooting and killing himself.

Obeshaw was a friend of the family and had been staying with Watson, her boyfriend, and little Emma until recently. He sometimes attended Emma's games and she had given him a big hug when she saw him there at the school. He sat with Watson and her boyfriend during the practice.

Family and friends told police that Obeshaw had become paranoid and believed that somebody was attempting to perform mind control on him.

The only time I believe in evil is when shit like this happens, so tragic.

There is a world of difference between being mentally unstable & being evil.

^ Michael Jones, 44, and his wife Heather Jones, 29, owned a bail bonds company and lived with their 6 children (4 of them shared, two were his from a previous relationship) in a rented house in Kansas City, Kansas. What went on inside that house is atrocious.

Michael Jones was arrested last month after a domestic disturbance and was charged with child abuse, aggravated assault and aggravated battery. Police found the house filled with rancid food, rats, mice, syringes, porn, crap...

[Image: 2F6032F000000578-0-image-a-8_1450127732374.jpg]
During the course of that arrest, police learned that Michael Jones' 7-year-old son ^Adrian Jones had been missing for several months and opened an investigation. Sadly, investigators found remains of little Adrian in a barn on the property. RIP.

Heather Jones' estranged father told police and reporters that his daughter called him and told him that Michael Jones had killed Adrian and fed him to the pigs.

Prosecutors added a first-degree felony murder charge against Michael Jones on Friday and charged Heather Jones with murder as well. His bond is set at $10 million, her's is set at $5 million. The 5 surviving children were taken into the custody of CPS.

The babysitters for the family claimed that multiple people contacted the Kansas Department For Children and Families with concerns about the children and their living conditions.

Michael Williams, Heather Jones' brother, alleged that Michael had abused his wife and the children in the home for years.

RE: Rampant Abuse and Murders of Children - SIXFOOTERsez - 12-15-2015

Thats fucked up on so many levels
Ya know, my sister was married to a shit stain, he was an asshole but never laid a finger on her because he was scared of me and my dad and a couple cousins. He almost didn't survive the wedding.
These ass clowns let this go on with a sister/daughter for years according to the babysitters

RE: Rampant Abuse and Murders of Children - HairOfTheDog - 12-15-2015

If the babysitters are telling the truth, I'd like to know why the Department for Children and Families didn't investigate the complaints, Six. Or, if they did investigate, what was the status of the investigation. There's no way the conditions of that house could be deemed safe for six children aged 2 through 10, in my opinion.

As for the wife's family, I don't know if Michael Jones moved his wife and kids and cut off all contact. They'd lived in the rental house for a year and a half. But, that's what happens in a lot of cases with extremely abusive assholes -- they cut the woman off from outside contact and isolate her. If she threatens or tries to leave, she's met with a serious risk of being killed.

I'm interested to hear more about this story -- what could or should have been done to save Adrian or the next Adrian? He was 7, school age. Did the school notify authorities? Did his five siblings have contact with anybody or tell anybody that Adrian was gone? Did his siblings know he was killed? How and why did he die?

Sounds like plenty of people knew about the hell those kids, and presumably the wife, were going through for years. But, it took the husband/father being arrested for shooting inside the house the day before Thanksgiving for anything to be done. Sad.

It's too late for Adrian. I'm hoping that all, or at least some, of the other 5 kids in that house have a chance at finding safety and comfort and aren't trapped psychologically by their beginnings, but that's a crap shoot.

Agreed, lots of questions and some blame to go round for those that should have done something and failed to do so.

Nightmare in California

More evil. This story makes me so sad and angry.

^ 39-year-old Tami Joy Huntsman and her 17-year-old companion Gonzaolo Curiel were arrested and charged with child abuse and two counts of murder last week in California.

They lived in Salinas with Huntsman's 12-year-old twins and her 9-year-old niece, 6-year-old nephew, and 3-year-old niece. Huntsman's sister-in-law died in a car accident and her brother was arrested last year for starting a terrible wild fire here in CA. So, Huntsman was given custody of the couple's children.

The 9-year-old was found with broken bones, missing teeth, open sores, lice, and weighing 40 pounds when police rescued her. She was found huddled in an SUV when police responded to a child welfare complaint at an apartment owned by Huntsman in Quincy, CA. The girl underwent immediate surgery. Huntsman's 12-year-olds were removed from the home.

When police were investigating the child abuse case, they discovered that she had custody of the the two younger siblings of the 9-year-old, but the smaller chidren were nowhere to be found. During questioning, Curiel told investigators that they could be found in a storage unit in Redding.

Police found the bodies of ^ Delylah Tara (right) and six-year-old Shaun Tara (left) in the storage unit. They died of long-term sustained abuse. RIP.

Child Protective Services had responded to four different complaints of abuse over the last year, but didn't remove the children because they say there was no evidence of abuse.

Curiel is being charged as an adult.

Washington

^ Brittany Shane Daniels, 22 and Cody James Shields, of Bellingham, Washington have been charged with second-degree manslaughter in the December death of their 3-month-old son, Lucian.

According to the police reports, the father was up all night playing video games with headphones and didn't hear the baby cry. When he discovered the baby dead, he called the mom at work and she called 911.

Police discovered no signs of foul play at the home. However, the officers noticed that the baby seemed very thin and frail.

The investigation uncovered that Lucian had only gained 17 ounces in the three months since he was born.

While the couple claimed they'd fed the baby, the autopsy later confirmed that there was nothing in his stomach or small intestines.

Investigators also found texts and posts between couple complaining of Lucian's crying and uncertainty as to when he was last fed.

The prosecutor is not alleging an intentional homicide. The county medical examiner, Gary Goldfogel, found the child died from malnutrition, dehydration and “neglect of ordinary care of infant.”

Poor little guy. RIP Lucian.

New York

RIP baby Maddox Lawrence (pictured above with her father/killer Ryan Lawrence).

Before Central New Yorkers learned that Maddox Lawrence was missing, she'd already been killed, her body burned and hidden in Onondaga Creek, according to a source familiar with the investigation.

Maddox's father, Ryan Lawrence, told police he'd killed the girl in Labrador Hollow, a remote area of Cortland County, on Saturday, the source said. Lawrence admitted he then partially burned her body, drove it to Syracuse and hid her remains in the creek, the source said.

Syracuse police charged Lawrence with second-degree murder after recovering the body.

Lawrence left an eight-minute video for his wife in which he says, "I'm leaving and I'm taking her with me," the source said.

Lawrence also left a note for his wife in which he indicated he might harm his daughter and himself, police have said. Morgan Lawrence notified police, which prompted an Amber alert Sunday morning. Morgan Lawrence is not a suspect; she is devastated by the death of their daughter.

Ryan Lawrence, who reportedly has a history of mental and emotional problems, was buying a comforter at a thrift store in Baldwinsville on Monday when an acquaintance spotted him and called 911, the source said.

Police then stopped Lawrence as he was walking along Downer Street. He had a backpack with camping gear, a wig and a book about how to avoid being captured, the source said.

After police interrogated Lawrence, they took him with them to point out where he'd hid Maddox's body, the source said.

Lawrence indicated to police that, before killing Maddox, he'd been jealous that she'd been taking his wife's attention from him, the source said.
