He should have gotten congressional support first.

And let's not forget that this might be a "war" for oil . . . imported oil.

http://content.usatoday.com/communities/theoval/post/2011/03/obama-we-must-get-serious-about-long-term-energy-policy/1

"Right now, the industry holds tens of millions of acres of leases where it's not producing a drop, sitting on supplies of American energy just waiting to be tapped," Obama said.

Damned old, rich, racist, republican AND white, oil men! Just waiting to rape our AMERICAN environment and suck the crude right out.

Fuckers.

I love the fact some of the retards who backed Bush's illegal invasion of Iraq are now criticising Obama for being a hawk for taking part in a UN mandated no fly zone and suggesting maybe giving the rebels some guns and ammo.

Meh.

At least he's being honest from the get go, instead of making up fairytales about WMD's and Al Qaeda.

Yep arm the rebels in some foreign land and at the same time try and take the guns away domestically.

It would be cool to know who we are going to give weapons to though, I think they all should have to pass background checks first.

Careful . . .

Al Qaeda weren't in Iraq until after the invasion, some retards here said otherwise, but when pressed they could only come up with one Iraqi Al Qaeda group that wasn't formed until 2005.

Rumors of Al Qaeda are being mentioned, now, by the administration.

Just sayin' . . .

Have fun trying to defend Obama on this one. We are there because of "humanitarian" reasons..........right?

"The Senate unanimously approved a nonbinding resolution on Tuesday calling for the United Nations Security Council to impose a no-fly zone over Libya and urged Libyan leader Muammar el-Qaddafi to resign and allow a peaceful transition to democracy".

Unanimous sounds pretty supportive to me.

This amuses me:

Stephen Colbert praised Newt Gingrich last night for being consistently against President Obama on Libya, even though that meant changing his own opinion.

Colbert first pointed to Gingrich's remarks on March 7 when he said the U.S. should immediately institute a no-fly over Libya and remove Muammar Qaddafi from power. "Do it, get it over with," Gingrich said at the time.

"Incidentally, 'Do it, get it over with,' is also the e-mail that Newt sends to his divorce lawyer every three years," Colbert said.

"Which, of course, is due to his longstanding open-fly zone," he added.

But two weeks later, when American and allied forces began a joint assault on Libya, Gingrich started singing a different tune, saying the U.S. should not have intervened. Colbert hailed that seeming flip-flop as proof of Gingrich's strong leadership skills.

"Leadership is not about bombing or not bombing," Colbert said. "Leadership is about being consistently against whatever Obama does."

hah

Apparently Stephen Colberts and Jon Stewarts shows have a liberal agenda that only liberal pussies find amusing.

They only ever target Republicans not Democrats (lies).

The Republican attitude regarding Obama does appear to be "he can do no right...ever" some of the pubes at Mock bawl the same rhetoric.

Take no action over Libya? - "PUSSY!" like Clinton.
Take action over Libya? - "HAWK! like Bush

With the minor matter of the House of Representatives not being consulted.

Meanwhile, CNN had on a reporter from The New Yorker, from Libya. Apparently there are fewer than 1000 opposition fighters. Never fear, though, because the CIA is in country and some general said it only takes a few hours to teach them how to use rocket launchers. It's all good. One more domino down.
