The reporter in the video says something like this (paraphrased): "Authorities are working to change her pretrial release status after she (Lena) allegedly went with another person who purchased or tried to purchase bath salts, an illegal drug. The issue of Lunsford violating her release while waiting for trial is on hold until medical issues (involving her pregnancy) are resolved".
So it sounds like the Federal authorities are aware of this intent to purchase and might be using it as a violation of her right to release.
LC, Will you please give some more clarity on what this means? Both from the legal perspective, but also what is illegal about "bath salts". I have seen some news about people using "bath salts" as a way to get high, but I am not aware of the details of if "bath salts" are actually illegal.

According to a statement released by Woelfel and Woelfel LLP, of Huntington, WV Lena Lunsford has issued the following statement:
Lena Lunsford implores residents of central West Virginia to keep a vigilant eye open for any clue concerning her daughter's September 24 disappearance or her current whereabouts. Aliayah, age 3, has brown hair, brown eyes, weights about 35 pounds and is 3 feet in heighth.
"I believe in my heart that Aliayah is alive. That belief is keeping me going through these horrible days. If Aliayah's photo stays in the public eye, maybe someone will notice something which will lead to a beak in the case. Thank you to the volunteers and law enforcement officers who have been helping and who give us hope. I continue to fully cooperate with the investigators who are working so hard for Aliayah's return home.
Sadly, a relative of ours who has no knowledge of the real facts has been making uninformed comments to the media which I hope will come to a stop by my speaking out now. Please keep Aliayah, my other children and our entire family in your prayers. I believe the person or persons who are responsible for this nightmare will see justice soon." - Lena Lunsford
A lawyer for Lena Lunsford says she wants to take a lie detector test to clear herself and allow police and the FBI to focus efforts elsewhere in the search for her missing daughter. Lawyer Tom Smith, through his investigator, says experts feel her pregnancy might block an accurate evaluation, but she want to take a polygraph exam after it ends. Lunsford has several lawyers: a federal public defender, a Huntington attorney involved in a civil suit she filed and Smith who is looking after her "civil rights" in the more than six week long search for her missing daughter.

So sources say the babies have been born, both girls and healthy and are in custody of DHHR. Woohoo finally the twins are here and they healthy. Now maybe we will get to the truth about Aliayah.

This is the new flyer of Aliayah released by FBI today..... this took them 2 weeks to prepare and according to Agent Jeff Killeen this photo came from the extended family.

what a sad little photo in new poster. she looks like a cast member from Les Miserables.
poor little kid. to many that photo actually looks like evidence of abuse. i'm surprised it was even released. but there may be a reason for it.
family members say she had run into a door. the classic excuse.

I agree there has to be a reason, they had plenty of time to airbrush it if they had wanted. According to Uncle Randy the picture was released by his sister, Aliayah's grandma Joann.
News articles have said they har released two new posters and one is on the FBI Facebook page.

That photo says it all. The bruising on her face, and it looks like she has scabs (or at least a reddened area) on her top lip. The facial expression is of a child without hope.
My God, what was her life like? That picture breaks my heart.

I just noticed your comment, LC, and I agree it does look like makeup on her eyes! That horrible bruise on her cheek, her upper lip looks chapped (mustache/beard burn??) and her upper chest looks a bit bruised or scratched too. Is that a bruise on her left arm?
At first I thought her head was shaved, but on closer observation it looks like it is severely pulled back into a bun or pony tail. A hair style that tight must hurt!! It looks like she is made up to look older. This is a baby, she is only three years old!!
With that picture, Aliayah, could become a poster child for abused and exploited children. Why would the FBI be using that picture?
