Don't take it so hard Maggot, borrow a brain and change my opinion of you.

Yay! I'm so glad you said yes! Yes is my favorite word.

When do you return? Are your kids going too?

Can I tell you what you should photograph? Hahaha! Kiddin', just kiddin'.

Bon voyage!

Hey Ms., which island?

RE: Good Morning to - Midwest Spy - 01-18-2012

I'll be in Honolulu for 3 days, and then Monday morning we're going over to Kauai for 10 days. Staying in Princeville (north shore).

Kiddos are coming. I'm not much of a photographer, but I'll do my best.

I'm jealous. That's the only state in the USA that I havent been to. And since the sky just crapped out 5 " of snow on us, I'd love to go there.

Yeah, I'm with you. If I vacation in January, I want it to be horrible here. So far, we've had virtually zero winter. There's not any snow, and we've had 2 or 3 record high temps in January.

I'm bringing the sticks. I thought you'd appreciate that. Putting in Hawaii is very different from MN. The greens are super grainy. Plus, there's always a trade wind blowing, usually about 20mph. Challenging conditions.

RE: Good Morning to - thekid65 - 01-18-2012

Same deal here in I-dee-ho...no fucking winter to speak of, and I golfed in the last week of Dec.

Damn, I'd love to join ya on one of the courses. Did you get some type of package deal with the hotel? Where are ya playing?

I've only been to Kauai once but we stayed right, smack on Hanalei Bay. Some acquaintances of ours invited us (their family, cousins etc., share a house there). Anyway, I saw pictures which weren't very flattering; I thought it was going to be a shack so I went with a lot of trepidation. Freaking place was worth $6million at the height of the market. It was gorgeous. The kids loved jumping off the pier there.

We saw the "soul surfer" girl go out surfing almost every morning (hard to miss a one-armed blonde).

I like Kauai but I think I prefer Maui. Kauai feels almost too small for my tastes--I felt like I was on a tiny spec of earth in the middle of the Pacific.

I hated the traffic in Honolulu but it was cool to see Pearl Harbor.

Have fun.

I can't think about golf without thinking of Tiger's ex chasing him down the driveway with one of his own clubs. Hahahaha! Awesome mental picture.

Playing the Makai at Princeville, Kauai Lagoons and there's also a Municipal course on the east side of the island.

It's easy to google pics of the courses.
