I'm making vegetable soup today. It's a perfect day for it.

Yum! I got some candied salmon yesterday and now it is already gone.

How did you make it? I'm planning on making some tomorrow because I have veggies that are going to go bad if I don't use them up, but I really don't have a set recipe.

Chicken broth and whatevers in the fridge preferably with garlic and onion.

You won't like it because it's not homemade--

can of corn
can of beans
can of peas
can of diced tomatoes
baby carrots
diced potatoes
diced onion
cubed beef--I cubed a London Broil

I let it cook all day in the crockpot.

I don't always cook homemade. I often make soups using canned beans, canned tomatoes, store bought stock and frozen vegetables.

Reminds me of pow wow soup
Brown some meat and add a can of everything

Yep.

I walked in to my place today and the smell of the coffee reminded me of the days my family used to eat goat cheese w/ flat bread in the mornings. The bread is actually a cracker-and it tastes like cardboard and would probably never eat it again, but there is something about it w/ the cheese I suppose.

sauteed mushrooms and scallops with a glass of Pinot Noir... mmmm, life doesn't get any better than that.

RE: what's for dinner? - Duchess - 10-21-2022

I don't want to cook.   52

RE: what's for dinner? - MirahM - 10-21-2022

Neither do I. Mushrooms and scallops sound good!

RE: what's for dinner? - Duchess - 10-22-2022

I'd rather dig a ditch than cook.

Huh? I had to google them to see what they are and it's said they have their origins in Portugal.
