My friend who visited from Oregon last week said the same thing, in all seriousness. He's a chef. According to his counting/calculations (yeah, he counts that shit when he rides public transpo), 6 out of every 10 people in Portland is obese. He's skinny as a rail, so I can't vouch for his definition of "obese". While he was here, he was counting obese people in SF. 3 out of 10. I never notice.

Maybe the US should follow the lead of some European countries that have implemented exorbitant tax on foods with trans fat?

Cigarettes are not legal for all people. Same with alcohol. I can see Dick's point.

I said make pot legal as is alcohol. I am not saying make it legal for a 12 year old to buy it.

You probably think it's legal to drive a car,own a house, land, fish, hunt,go boating, hiking, visit national parks,or any of a thousand and one other things.

none of which are legal unless you pay a price to the government and observe the regulation involved in each making all of them allowed by law for a price.

You have been fooled into believing that legal means allowed.

Go ahead and take over for Ramsey Ma, it should be an easy transition for you.hah

Not my intention at all, when you're full of shit you're easy to spot because you float. Rule Of Law is for a reason friend.

That's why we fight the good fight with the war on drugs, right? because of the rule of law?

it's because they haven't figured out how to regulate it,tax it,and restrict it.

The rule of law is based on a couple of simple principles, one is for the good of the whole and for civil peace and happiness.

everything else that you see today is revenue.

You did a good job impersonating Ramsey by the way, props for that.

Would you support decriminalization of marijuana; no FDA regulation and no taxes applied?

Probably not. I think it should be handled the same way as alcohol. Legal to purchase over 21 years of age. If you are pulled over and are under the influcence, you get a DWI. I don't smoke pot and I rarely drink. I don't judge people who do. To each their own. But these things are not necessities like food so yes, it should be taxed at a higher level. I am sure some people feel it's unfair to "penalize" those that partake in ciggs and alcohol and I understand that. But I also feel that other things that are not a necessity of life should be taxed at a higher rate as well such as junk food and soda. You go to the grocery store and it's actually cheaper to buy a cart full of junk food than a car full of healthy food. Should be the other way around.

The K is silent, or it shouldn't be there?

I was so tired I couldn't continue?

or maybe I think Ramseys head is like a piece of flint?

no matter what it was even if I had my mind on something else it was worth it.

RE: Pot Criminalization: Up in Smoke? - ramseycat - 06-07-2012
