Do you people ever sleep? - ramseycat - 06-14-2012
I see some of you are posting at 2 or 3am and I know you are on the east coast. I know some of the Mockers are on the west coast and several hours behind us. But what are you people doing up in the middle of the night? I know Duchess probabl sleeps about 5 hours a night. She is always saying she hates taking time to sleep. What about you other people? I need at least 7 hours or I am grumpy. Since I rarely get that during the week, I am always grumpy in the morning. Come Saturday? I. Sleep. In.

I wont go into details, but part of my sleep cycle produces an hour or two of consciousness most every night. Times may vary but cruising mock helps me relax and get back to sleep, so occasionally you'll see some nocturnal activity from me.Not that it's any of your fucking business

OH it's my business all right Ma. Don't get all uppity with me or I will have to spank that ass of yours.
I wake up a lot at night too. I will turn on the tv and set the sleep timer for an hour. Listening to the tv helps me go back to sleep. I would read but when I am into a book, I don't want to put it down so I would never go back to sleep. I think not sleeping through the night happens to people when they get older for some reason. Too much on our minds perhaps. My kids can go to sleep at 10 and sleep until 10 the next morning. Teenagers!

I don't sleep a lot. Up until just lately I lived on 3-4 sometimes 5 hours. Insomnia and I have been enemies for a long time through different periods of my life.
When I was in the states, some dumbass put me on to melatonin. It seems to work a treat for me and lately I've been getting a solid 5-6 hours. Not sure if it's a placebo thing of it's just good s hit, but it works for me.

Melatonin does work Crash. I have taken it. When I do, I can sleep through the night until about 4am which isn't bad.

I never ever sleep. After 4 or 5 days, I crash hard. I don't like taking pills because I'm afraid if something happens at night, I wont be coherent enough to deal with the siuation and melatonib doesnt do anythng for me. I don't getnon mock or anything at night bc if I give myself any excuse to get put of bed, I know I'm not getting back in. I force myself to lie there.

Sleep is an integral part of a stable life. Most don't get enough. Coupled with drinking lots of water; making healthy eating choices and exercise. . .

years of changing shifts messed up my sleep patterns. not at all predictable or regular now.
sometimes i am here at 0300 because i wake up thinking about some kid who is missing and am compelled to check.

Thank Gawd I finally slept more than an hour or two. Had to take something to sleep. I try not to, had a bad experience with Ambien a few years ago, but sometimes you just have to sleep.

I like to sleep a lot. Eight hours is just about right for me, but I'll sleep longer if I have the opportunity. Being well rested helps me make the most of the waking hours.

I'm unemployed. I stay up to 4am and then sleep in until about noon.
