I think that the look-a-like bears an amazing resemblance to Diana.

From 1979 - I'm listening to the vinyl now; every song on the album is golden, especially "The Last Chance Texaco" imo.

I cannot imagine. So I turn to Johnny Clegg. And the comfort.

Don't know why I somehow thought of HOTD when I saw this . . .

Check out Live from Daryl's House.

Here's a sampling of what you might find:

Yup.

That colored boy on the Hammond is Booker T. Jones from Booker T and the MGs.

And then there's Todd . . .

I hadn't heard any of them before and really liked them all, Tiki. The live version from Daryl's house is unbelievably good. Listened to that one twice.

Love Boz Skaggs - gonna check out the live version of "Low Down" with Chromeo from Daryl's house later tonight. Probably be visiting Daryl often, now that I know where to find him. Thanks!

One for you: "Loan Me a Dime" with Boz Skaggs and Duane Allman on lead guitar.

Love the lyrics and feel to this Jimmy Webb song written back in the 60s and covered by everybody and their brother.

I liked Johnny Rivers and Glen Campbell doing it too, but Isaac Hayes's version (very long) is my favorite.

By the Time I Get to Phoenix, Isaac Hayes

My first memory of Boz . . . courtesy of my older brothers!

I played the grooves off Slow Dancer (Speedo Cover) and (they) needed to replace the needle of the turntable, too!

For my birthday (7th), the middle brother actually brought me to Boz's concert with his high school sweetie at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix.

Full orchestration and back-up singers.

Did I feel important!

Time to play Santa's Helper.

Ta!

RE: Living in the past? - HairOfTheDog - 12-24-2012

My first exposure to Boz was Silk Degrees. I wore the needle out on that one. It wasn't until years later that I learned that he and Steve Miller met when they were kids and Boz Scaggs was lead singer with the original Steve Miller Band. I've never seen either live - what a rush to see Boz when you were just a kid.

I'm listening to Phoebe Snow - I loved her style and voice.

Merry Christmas Tiki.

I've seen X a couple of times at Boz's club, Slims. Always a good show.

What the hell HOTD

RE: Living in the past? - BlueTiki - 03-18-2013

Love me some Jeff "Skunk" Baxter!

Here's to you, one-eyed Jack O'Neill . . .

Cornelius Bumpus was so cool; Santa Cruz native.

There are a few Doobie Brothers' songs about Santa Cruz.

But, this song features one of my favorites of his sax solos.
