Don't be scared. No more disco today, promise.

I like some country too; always liked this one.

Maggot likes country?

RE: Living in the past? - HairOfTheDog - 05-04-2013

That's a great jam, Adub.

I think Maggot wrote that he likes those kinds of country songs, the ones that tell a story.

One of my favorites is Roger Miller's "King of the Road".

Roger 'effin around with Johnny Cash on "Walk the Line" and "King of the Road".

+1. I love that song.

Love these voices. They're the ones that I first sang to and wanted to be like when I grew up.

Don't give me too much shit, Maggot. I know when you're stoned posting too and (almost) never make fun!

Never ever could touch this song, but still wish that I could.

The 5th Dimension popped (that's "pooped" . . . on Ramsey's phone) into my shuffle playlist, while at the gym tonight.

I love Marilyn McCoo's voice.

And Bacharach is a genius.

Did you notice who was palming the drums for Linda Rondstadt on "You're No Good"? He really did it all. You have great taste.

I really liked Burt Bacharach's collaboration with Elvis Costello a lot, but love his old classics too.

Back before Dionne became a psychic space case; another great voice.

Well, I've gotta stay awake for a bit; got your picks playing in another window.

They're all good ones.

This guy is IMPRESSIVE!!! Check this out, Maggot...

RE: Living in the past? - HairOfTheDog - 06-18-2013

This seems to be the right thread; past meets present.

Thinking about the George Zimmerman trial and some people's fear regarding future reactions to either verdict...

Thinking about the logic-deprived school administrators in Maryland currently suspending kids for cap guns and biting their pop tarts in the form of something that might look like a gun...
+
Planning the music for the nephew's upcoming wedding reception in LA....

Final Answer/Connection: Race riots?, Maryland , irony, LA = Frank Zappa

First three songs on the wedding reception playlist - CHECK. Thanks Frank. 109

Did a kid really get into trouble for biting his pop tart into the shape of a gun or are you just mocking over zealous people? If a kid got into trouble for that, that's insane, truly.

Is this the nephew that you raised, Hot D?
