Funny how songs do that to a person. I even remember what she smelled like...........Odd, because the singer from OOS is an incredibly attractive black woman... RE: Living in the past? - BigMark - 04-26-2016 She smelled like cocoa butter and sex. RE: Living in the past? - Maggot - 04-26-2016 She had an infectious laugh and smile. It was hard to let her go. RE: Living in the past? - HairOfTheDog - 05-21-2016 I saw Lenny Kravitz several times back in my L.A. days. But, I never got to see Prince live. I think this performance is from 2000. Prince was awesome -- pop or rock, solo or collaboration, original or cover, singing or strumming... I'm kinda interested to hear some of the recordings he had stored in his studio vault, if they ever get released. RE: Living in the past? - HairOfTheDog - 05-21-2016 2006 Purple Rain RE: Living in the past? - HairOfTheDog - 05-21-2016 Terry Kath's vocals on this one kinda melt me. Very soulful. Whenever I hear Terry Kath, I think of Maggot. RE: Living in the past? - Maggot - 05-22-2016 That's quite the compliment! RE: Living in the past? - Midwest Spy - 09-20-2016 monday night playlist: 1. How much I feel - ambrosia 2. Just once- James Ingram 3. Missing you- Diana Ross 4. Cool love- Pablo cruise 5. Sail on- Commodores 6. Sailing - Chris Cross 7. You want to make a memory- Bob Jovi 8. Take it easy on me- LRB For my money, David Pack and James Ingram two of the best vocalists ever. RE: Living in the past? - HairOfTheDog - 09-20-2016 Well, Ambrosia and David Pack aren't on my short list MS, but it's fun imagining you tapping your toes and singing along with your easy-listening play list on a Monday night. For you -- the ultimate David Pack fan boy video. You're gonna make Dan Fogelberg jealous. RE: Living in the past? - Midwest Spy - 09-20-2016 Nice version of that tune. Quincy Jones was quoted years ago as saying 'Biggest Part Of Me' was one of his all-time top 3 tunes. May have changed now, but they had 3 really solid hit songs that still sound good today. I'd invite you to one of my 'easy-listening Mondays' someday, but I'm not sure you're interested? RE: Living in the past? - sally - 09-20-2016 (09-20-2016, 12:25 AM)Midwest Spy Wrote: 6. Sailing - Chris Cross I've always liked that song and I'm not sure why. It just sounds good to my ears I guess. Thank you, MS. It's a damned tempting offer, for sure. BUT, it's just short of tempting enough to fly across the country to take you up on it. Toss some Culture Club and Jim Croce into the mix and that might change, though. Sailing - Chris Cross Yeah, it's definitely in the adult contemporary genre, but it has stood the test of time. It still sounds good. Nothing wrong with that. I've done Croce's 'Operator' and 'I Got A Name'. I really like his music. Culture Club? We can listen to 'Time' and maybe 'Miss Me Blind'. Only Clang likes Karma Kameleon. I've always loved 38 Special. 'Rockin Into the Night' is a great song. I really like 'Hold on Loosely" too. RE: Living in the past? - HairOfTheDog - 09-21-2016 'So Caught Up in You" is another 38 Special song I really like. Gotta love the 80s' videos.
