I had to fastforward and listen to the end of the song. It is a great riff.

I've always loved the guitar, especially at the end, of this classic.

Oh sure, you just had to leave me as the outcast; the lonely non-fickle CC fan.

Do you really want to hurt me, Clang?

Do you really want to make me cry?

I listened to 3 T-Rex albums today. Mark Bolan was quite a good guitarist. His early acoustic stuff was good and he died young. Sometimes I think that's the best way when creative juices are at their peak. You never hear of a band that started making hits in their 50's and 60's. Barenaked ladies came close. I guess most sparkling ideas come between the ages of 18 and 25.

I'm sorry mama
I never meant to hurt you
I never meant to make you cry
But tonight I'm cleanin' out my closet

Well, come out of the closet and give it a watch and listen, Clang.

I like the song too.

I'm glad to hear that. I was worried you might be offended by his misogynistic and/or homophobic lyrics. You are one cool chick.

Freedom of speech and expression, baby. I love that shit, especially in art.

Eminem is a really good lyricist; he knows how to poetically share his story, his experiences, and his views. He's not a bad vocalist either.

Plus, he's good friends with Elton John these days. Elton helped him through rehab. So, Em can't be a homophobe no mo -- he's evolved!! Smiley_emoticons_wink

There's a slim chance that he hasn't changed at all and he's just playing Elton........he has been known to be shady.

Ooooo Alan Parsons Project. I haven't thought about them in a loooong time. I like the song you picked.

RE: Living in the past? - Maggot - 09-24-2016

I did a project on that song by Alan Parsons and came up with that song was about a robot talking to a human. Eye in the sky is cool too.

RE: Living in the past? - Midwest Spy - 09-29-2016

Just heard Manfred Manns "For You" and the Motels' "Only The Lonely".

Couple of good ones.

RE: Living in the past? - HairOfTheDog - 12-08-2016

Damn it, Mags.

We never shoulda started this year conjuring up ELP. They've been dropping dead ever since.

First Keith, your favorite. And now, Greg, my favorite (RIP). It's just 'P' now. :(

It has a kind of hallow feel to it, even though the lyrics, the voice and the music are rich.

Mine to you......

This month is the anniversary of Randy Rhodes Birthday (12/6). He would have been 60 this year. On 128 Dime was taken from us. Both left this earth far too soon. Below is a tribute to both of their genius. RIP Dr. Rhodes and Dime...
