THE GAY CURE - Duchess - 08-19-2012

When James Guay was 12, he went into a Christian bookstore to look for information on what was wrong with him. He found just one book on homosexuality -- "on how to change it," he recalled. When he brought it to the counter, the clerk asked if it was for him. "She said she would pray for me," he said.

A few years later Guay had a nervous breakdown and told his parents what was distressing him. His father, a pastor, helped him find a licensed "ex-gay" psychologist. The psychologist said he had been gay, but now was married to a woman. He told Guay that change was possible. "It was this newfound hope," Guay said. Within six months to a year, the therapist promised him, Guay could overcome his attraction to men and learn to be attracted to women.

gay "cures", needless lobotomies, ice-cold baths in strait jackets...these things go by the wayside with education, science, and progress.

they used to burn witches too, and heretics. and the world was flat.

Family Guy did a funny parody about Tom Cruise and homosexuality.

IF he's gay, apparently Scientology can't "cure" the natural desires either...

I would think modifying sexual proclivity would be as difficult the other way around: A straight man to homosexual.
If that sounds ludicrous (and it is) then the opposite is equally as such.

Thanks for taking the teeth out of the joke post I was developing as I read through the thread OBK.

RE: THE GAY CURE - OnBendedKnee - 08-19-2012

My apologies.

RE: THE GAY CURE - Riotgear - 08-19-2012

Yeah it was going to be great - Something along the lines of being straight but trying to be queer to no avail w/ a must be born that way tangent. Maybe even a pray the straight away angle or something.

RE: THE GAY CURE - Love Child - 08-19-2012

My favorite movie is "But I'm a cheerleader"

RE: THE GAY CURE - Riotgear - 08-19-2012

My favorite movie is Apocalypse Now.

RE: THE GAY CURE - Duchess - 08-19-2012

I don't have a favorite movie. Smiley_emoticons_slash

I can't sit still through a film so I can't imagine having one I'd want to watch over & over again.

I do try to watch A Christmas Carol during the holiday season, does that count?

I really don't think it would be all that difficult. You should try jumping into a hot tub with a good looking tranny sometime and see what happens, just for the hell it.

Well I was thinking more of a feminine looking Thai man with long black hair and breast implants, not a 300 lb man in a bikini that smells of Bengay and garlic.

Um yeah that doesn't help. They're always rocking that weird little dark brown vienna sausage. No bueno.
