LINCOLN TRAILER - Duchess - 10-04-2012

Some of you are going to enjoy the hell out of this film.

RE: LINCOLN TRAILER - Jimbone - 10-04-2012

Looks pretty good...Lincoln is an amazing story. There are so many facets of his life that could be explored it will be interesting to see what they try to touch on. Between his faith, personal tragedy and triumph, his unstable wife/partner, and war time leadership... it really is an amazing true tale with such a tragic ending.

Daniel Day Lewis looks just like him... and is a great actor. From the trailers, it appears he plays it well.

Ever read up on Lincoln and his treatment of the American Indians? He wasn't a saint.

RE: LINCOLN TRAILER - Clang McFly - 10-04-2012

Looks better or at least as good as that John Adams miniseries starring Paul Giamatti. And as a history major, Lincoln and the Civil War was one of my favorite time periods to study. I'll definitely go see that.

That Mother Teresa was a real asshole too.

You understand the North attacked the South. We have the battlefields, not the yankees. Why? Because some states decided they didn't like the bullshit of federal control.

Did the North really win? If you have ever bitched about big government, you really have to ask yourself that question.

Lincoln butchered his brothers. Mother Teresa of Calcutta he is not. And now we pay the slaves not to work. Good job, Abe.

Daniel Day Lewis is a great actor and will no doubt play him well, I just have no interest in Lincoln.

Steven Spielberg's Civil War drama "Lincoln" earned 12 Academy Award nominations Thursday, the most of any film, including for best picture, director and acting for Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field and Tommy Lee Jones.

I'm interested in his crazy wife. She was a real nutcase and must have driven him batty.

RE: LINCOLN TRAILER - NightOwl - 01-10-2013

Skyfall will have problems with that many nominations, Lincoln was an amazing man, I'm looking forward to seeing it when it comes out on DVD.

I wonder if they mention milk sickness in the movie? that caused the family to move from Kentucky to Illinois.

She is lovely IRL.

Was within speaking distance of her, last weekend.

Yeah . . . her makeup was fab.

Tiki! Loveis

She lobbied hard for that role. Talks first began back in 2005 & as time passed the director thought she was now too old to play the crazy lady but she proved them wrong & now she's nominated for an Oscar.

Get over your fear of flying and come join me at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, next year!

...and you'll be there to greet me when they pour me off the plane? I'd love to!

I took the Tram to the top of Mt San Jacinto with a bunch of high schoolers a few years back.

They were laying of the floor, crying, terrified.

It was pretty funny, except for the part where I was in charge of their well-being.
