THE WORD POLICE HAVE GOT TO GO - Duchess - 01-09-2013 09:40 AM

Some of you have already seen this in the news. There isn't an eyeroll big enough in all the land that would help me adequately express how I feel about this. The uproar it has created is ridiculous, however, you all are entitled to your opinion and I'm interested in reading it.

Do you think this sports commentators remarks are out of line?

From what I have heard, all the guy is actually guilty of is being a dirty old codger.

I don't see what the problem is. What if it was a woman commentator that said she was stunning and that football players are lucky, no one would even care.

Totally agree with everyone on this thread.*

*And I'm not going to lie, the thought of that frightens me, just a little.

She is beautiful but she looks like she's got hemorrhoids or something. Irritated.

Nothing wrong with the comments at all. Geez.

The mother looks irritated too, they probally hate each other.

If I'd heard the commentator's remarks while watching the game real time, I'd have thought he sounded like a drooling dork at that moment and forgotten about it immediately.

I agree, huge eyeroll about the fact that this is considered "news" or controversial in any way.

To her credit, I just saw an interview where she said people were making too much of this and that she, as most women would be, was flattered.

ESPN can be thankful I wasn't doing the commentary.

Do it for us.

I hope Kid isn't being a total tease.

I know first-hand for a fact that he's not too shy (or smart?) to say exactly how he feels about women or anything else. I wanna hear how he would have commented too.

(That totally honest asshole really grows on a person, dammit Love3 )

What Musburger said was no big deal anyway. But, as a professional model looking to advance her career, it would have been ignorant of her to handle it any less graciously. Just read that she snagged her dream gig modeling for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition as a result of this week's exposure (and this photo is all over even news websites).

I think that Katherine Webb owes Mr. Musburger and the word police a huge thanks...
