I read that the other day. If that story is true, he's a dick.

Of course Vince is denying it ever happened, but why wasn't anyone arrested?

I don't know. I often find law confusing. Could they all refuse to press charges so no arrest is made?

I don't believe battery is a charge that requires the victim to approve of charges. I'm pretty sure the State can decide to charge for violent crimes.

As I understand it, they really mixed it up in the casino after Neil attacked the woman. The video in the story was outside of the casino when they were both calmed down. The actual altercation was not captured on video, or if it was hasn't gone public yet. I'm sure the Aria has security footage.

I saw a pic of Neil and Cage outside the casino in the news the other day but didn't catch the story. Both weird guys. But, man, I hope Vince didn't really attack a woman.

Destructive 80s dudes.

Right around the same time, I saw a story about Axl Rose breaking his foot or ankle in Vegas just ahead of a Guns N Roses reunion show. Dave Grohl, who seems to be everywhere all the time, loaned Axl his Foo Fighters stage throne and Axl performed seated.

I think Axl still sounds alright, and the band sounds good.

Led Zeppelin is going to trial with the estate of the dead singer of a band Zeppelin toured with in the sixties, because the opening riff of "Stairway to Heaven" sound remarkably similar to the older instrumental "Taurus". It will be interesting to see whether the trial holds up. They are undeniably similar. But the question is, can you copyright a riff? And the first thing I thought on reading the articles was,

"Wait! You mean Led Zeppelin borrowed heavily and sometimes stole from other less famous previous works? NO WAYYYYY!"
Thank god I am oblivious to the opinions of others while caught in the blinding splendor of my own cleverness.

That all started about two years ago Dono. Personally, I think it goes beyond "remarkably similar." As does Dazed and Confused and countless other songs LZ "borrowed."

Relax honey. They got out from underneath the last law suit, this one should be a cut and paste.

I love Led Zeppelin too.

Their tendency to intentionally or unintentionally 'borrow without asking or crediting' from their influences and previous bands has been a controversial topic for decades though, with some settled lawsuits along the way. http://www.vh1.com/news/53929/the-case-a...-zeppelin/

They definitely should have credited when it was clear they were snagging riffs and lyrics. But, it doesn't take away from the great music they made and all of their truly original stuff, for me.

If I could only listen to one person/group for eternity, it would be them. I've liked them since I was a kid, since I first developed a taste in music.

I wouldn't want to live in a world where there was only one choice for music. I often side with the dark and heavy, but I also enjoy classical and flamenco among a vast array of other varying styles. It would be easier to say I have eclectic tastes in music, but it has become cliche to say that. Hipster douche bags ruin everything hah

It doesn't seem that Vince Neil will be filling in with Guns N Roses after all.

Axl Rose is confirmed to be filling in for Brian Johnson on AC/DC's European stadium tour from May 7th through June 12th. Johnson has hearing issues that prevent him for touring, but he says he's good to go in the recording studio. It's looking more like Axl is planning to rejoin Gun N Roses for their reunion tour after the 5-week AC/DC gigs, but that's still murky.

Alice Cooper's band Hollywood Vampires shares a bassist with GNR, Duff McKagan. So, Alice has tapped Robert DeLeo from Stone Temple Pilots to play bass on the Hollywood Vampires tour while Duff tours with GNR.

I'd kinda like to take my niece to see Alice Cooper this summer.

Alice has a weekly radio show or at least he did that was pretty cool. Sometimes he would play stuff he recorded in his studio with other famous artists. He would tell stories of some songs and his experiences when touring.
Axl may even tone his shit down a bit, lose some weight and come out a better and richer man if he's smart.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

Yeah, there's a ton of money to be made from reunion tours, especially big name stadium concerts.

I think you're right that if Axl Rose keeps his head on his shoulders and continues to sound good, he'll make millions from the short AC/DC tour in Europe and the Guns N Roses tour here this year.

That is a load of crap. He had clearance from another Doc. I'd also lay odds that Angus' hearing is worse than Brian's since he's been in front of those stacks much longer than Brian has. Angus just wanted Axl.

Belphegor was accosted by some religious kook in Russia. The guy actually spat in Helmuth's face (who does that?) which was quickly reciprocated. Check out my buddy Karl in the blonde hair... Waiting for a reason to smash some face. hah
