It's a defense position indicating that Walker had braced for impact in the passenger's seat. He had right wrist and left arm fractures, not surprisingly when bracing yourself and crashing at 100 mph. That's fast on an express way, not to mention a residential area. It's fortunate no one else was killed by the speed demons.
