Cattle, swine, chickens and other livestock, however, receive the majority of the nation's antibiotics -- less often for the treatment of an animal's illness than to speed its growth or to prevent disease, which can be readily spread among industrially raised livestock kept in squalor.

I can remember when me and my first really serious girlfriend (a girlfriend is like a female friend you also have sex with) moved in together and we had to watch the pennies never mind the pounds. We bought some Smash instant mash to save money, never again! We kept our local fish & chip shop busy from then on.
