ANOTHER SCHOOL/PUBLIC SHOOTING
Sometimes your parents just really piss you off. I know I've been wished to hell a few times. That's why you got to lock up your guns.

Yesterday the White House grounds were on lock-down after a man fired a gun. Turns out, he shot himself in the head and has since died.

The man approached the fence line, removed a concealed handgun and fired several rounds, none of which appear to have been aimed at the White House, a Secret Service spokesperson said.

A law enforcement source told CNN the shooter shot his phone before shooting himself. No suicide note was found, but incoherent sentences were found in a book recovered on the scene, the source said.

No details have been released about the man yet. But, that's not stopping commenters on Breitbart and other right-wing sites from celebrating the death of a 'libtard' or 'lefty' and wishing he'd taken a bunch more with him, which is pitiful.

Anyway, I'm glad no one else was hurt.

Alabama School Shooting

A student killed in an apparent gun accident at an Alabama high school Wednesday has been identified as 17-year-old Courtlin Lashawn Arrington (pictured above). She had just been accepted to college where she was to study nursing. Rest in Peace.

Another student was injured in the incident at Huffman High School in Birmingham. No details were immediately available about the arrest.

The person of interest has not been publicly identified and formal charges are pending as the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office reviews the case.

The school was closed Thursday as officials conducted a thorough safety sweep after metal detectors and other security measure failed to keep students from handling a gun in a classroom.

Birmingham Interim Police Chief Orlando Wilson said investigators are reviewing surveillance video for clues and interviewing students and staff to figure out exactly what led to the shooting.

"We consider it accidental until the investigation takes us elsewhere," Wilson said. "We have a lot of unanswered questions. There are so many unknowns at this time."

The gun was recovered, but Wilson declined to say who fired it.

Follow-up to Post #1604 - Birmingham School Shooting

Courtlin Arrington, who was an aspiring nurse, died on the way to the hospital after being shot in her classroom on Wednesday by another high school student.

Police initially investigated the shooting as 'accidental'. After reviewing the surveillance video, Jefferson County District Attorney Michael Anderton filed charges against the shooter.

^ 17-year-old Michael Jerome Barber was charged with bringing 'a pistol onto the campus of Huffman High School and recklessly causing the death of Miss Arrington' (manslaughter). His bail was set at $75,300.

The school district superintendent said the Huffman school has more than 43 entry points with a combination of wand and stationary metal detectors in place, but they were not in use on Wednesday. She did not say why they weren't in use.

I've heard of that happening with other schools, not that they have a shooter but that they have disconnected the security at the entry area's, usually a month or two after activating them. I don't know why but lots of kids will open the doors from the inside if another kid is knocking on the door trying to get in. setting off alarms and they get sick of it. Kids fuck with stuff.........that's what they do.

Death Penalty Notice for Florida High School Mass Shooter

[Image: 4A2367EA00000578-5496449-image-a-47_1520966040209.jpg]
The former student charged with killing 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School last month will face the death penalty, prosecutors said today.

Nikolas Cruz, 19, is scheduled for formal arraignment tomorrow on a 34-count indictment, including 17 first-degree murder charges.

Cruz's attorneys have said he would plead guilty if the death penalty was not pursued in the Valentine's Day massacre.

The office of Broward County State Attorney Michael Satz filed the formal notice of its intentions Tuesday. The action by prosecutors Tuesday does not necessarily mean a plea deal will not be reached.

I hope this one results in a guilty plea, avoiding the massively expensive and years-long legal proceedings associated with death penalty trials. A quick plea and a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole works for me (so long as the victims' families agree).

I doubt a jury would sentence Cruz to death considering all the red flags he was tossing up, with no serious intervention attempts by authorities.

^ Morgan Roof, 18, was arrested yesterday after bringing a knife to school with her and threatening students participating in the walkout against gun control.

The 18-year-old was apprehended after the student body was alarmed due to a threatening post on her Snapchat, in which she said she hopes students participating in the National Walkout Day 'get shot.'

'We know it's fixing to be nothing but black people walkin' out anyway,' she added.

The post was particularly alarming given her brother, Dylann Roof, opened fire on a church in Charleston, South Carolina, brutally murdering nine black parishioners on June 17, 2015 in an effort to start a race war.

She was released on $5k bond.

And.........in Orlando, Florida, ^ Noor Salman, the widow of Pulse nightclub shooter Omar Mateen, is on trial. She aided and abetted her husband's ISIS-inspired terrorist attack which caused the the death of 49 people, prosecutors say.

Assistant U.S. Attorney James Mandolfo said during his opening statements that she misled FBI agents for hours during questioning before finally signing a confession. She is also facing obstruction charges.

Mandolfo said the evidence will show that Salman knew that her husband had pledged alliance to ISIS and had helped him plan the attack by scouting possible sites for an attack including City Place in West Palm Beach and Disney Springs in Orlando.

He also said Salman helped her husband create a cover story to distance her from the attack. He said the prosecution will present cell phone records, computer forensics evidence, text messages, bank statements and testimony from law enforcement officers to support its case.

Salman's defense attorney, Linda Moreno, said her client was a woman with an IQ of only 84, placing her in the lowest 20 percent of people, who had been lied to by her husband for years and that Mateen had hid his Jihadi plans from her just as he had used similar lies to cover his numerous affairs with other women. "Noor was in the dark about Mateen's despicable life," Moreno said.

Maryland High School Shooting

[Image: 6b311c2f-c7a1-4fa2-9f85-2a39d8c22109.jpg]

Three students were critically injured this morning at Great Mills High School, one them is the shooter.

ATF, FBI, and local police are on the scene. The school was on lockdown and is now being evacuated.

An armed resource officer reportedly helped end the threat.

The school had investigated reports of shooting threats by a student recently and determined that the there was no substantiated danger. I really hope the student shooter in this case is not the one who'd been reported and cleared.

Not many details as of yet.

I just heard LE confirm that the armed resource officer responded quickly to the gunshots and shot the shooter. Hats off to him.

^ The teen gunman who died after injuring two classmates in a shooting at a Maryland high school on Tuesday has been identified as 17-year-old Austin Wyatt Rollins.

Rollins entered Great Mills High School just before classes started Tuesday morning, pulled out a handgun and shot a 16-year-old girl.

St Mary's County Sheriff Tim Cameron said Rollins and the female victim had a 'prior relationship' but he couldn't comment on the 'extent' of that relationship or whether it played into the motive.

A 14-year-old boy was also hit with a bullet, before the school resource officer intervened and brought the bloodbath to an end in just one minute.

^ This the deputy and armed resource officer, Blaine Gaskill. He did not hesitate to confront the shooter in order to protect the students and is being hailed a hero for doing his job, and doing it well.

It's not confirmed yet whether Rollins killed himself or was killed by a bullet fired by Gaskill.
