Of course he had an option. How about saying something to the affect of "I don't want my minuscule dick in the pages of my yearbook".

I thought it was a pretty funny prank, I'd bet that no students were harmed by it and most got a laugh out of it. And some of the parents too. I don't think he deserves a felony sex conviction as he only did it on a dare, but I do think the indecent exposure charge fits.

I don't think he'll be lucky enough to get off with a pee-pee whackin' (you know what I mean).

I think he'll probably plea down from a felony to a few charges of indecent exposure (misdemeanor) and, hopefully, he'll be fined to cover the cost to the school.

I laugh at most anything, but I stopped thinking boys/men flashing their pee-pees in public was funny before I was in high school. This guy was 19 when he whipped it out for an official picture. He's an idiot who I hope will be held reasonably accountable and learn a lesson.

Do you think it's bullshit or appropriate to charge this man with a crime under the circumstances?

Michael Whalen shot his beloved hound mix Allie in the head in late January after the sick dog was seizing for almost an hour. Crying, he buried her in the sand dunes along Virginia Beach, Virginia, according to reports.

Whalen claims that he isn't an animal abuser and killing his dog of 15 years wasn't a crime, but rather an act of love. He said he had no choice other to end Allie's life because 'it was too painful to watch her suffer.'

In February 2016, Whalen was told by a veterinarian that Allie had Cushing's disease, a rare condition which produces an excess of hormones from the adrenal glands, according to PetMD.

Due to Allie's old age, the doctor recommended euthanizing her, but Whalen wasn't ready to let go just yet because Allie was still happy, playful, and not in pain.

So he kept the Hungarian Vizsla dog stable with expensive medications, giving the two another year together.

But early in the morning on January 27 of this year, the medication wasn't enough and Allie began panting, swaying and having seizures. Allie was in great pain and the nearest vet was 20 minutes away. So, Whalen shot Allie with a small-caliber gun to immediately end her suffering and then buried her in the dunes.

In February, Allie's body was found by a passerby who saw her paw poking out of the sand. Police were alerted and began searching for the dog's owner. After someone gave officers a tip, Whalen was charged with one count of animal cruelty and one count of dumping trash on March 17.

The 65-year-old could spend a year in jail and pay thousands of dollars in fines for animal cruelty charges and illegally burying his pet.

Aww. That's very sad. I don't view what he did as animal cruelty and I don't think he should be charged with that. *sigh* Can we have a little common sense, please. After getting all that information those in charge should have seen he was a responsible pet owner.

Yeah, I think the animal cruelty charge is total bullshit too, given the evidence. It was clearly a mercy killing. Burying Allie in a shallow grave on public property was not a good idea, though. I think charging Mr Whalen for breaking that law is appropriate; cite and fine him. However, jail time for that offense would be bullshit too, in my opinion.

Bullshit charge!

The man loved and took good took care of his Hungarian Vizsla dog for 15 years, and then kept his dog stable buy using expensive medications for a year, thus giving the two another year together.

Furthest thing from animal cruelty! He should have buried her on his own properly, strange why he didn't.

As for myself shooting the dog, I'm not sure I could have done that, could not know for sure until actually faced with the situation. Maybe he should have taken her to the vet to have put down. Sad story, hope it turns out in his favor!

I wondered about why Mr Whalen buried the dog in the dunes too, Cars. In the Daily Mail article linked there are a few pictures of Whalen and Allie at the beach and a video of them surfing together. Seems those dunes were a favorite place for them both. In the interview linked below, Whalen claims he didn't know it was illegal to bury Allie there.

I also wondered why he reportedly let Allie suffer for an hour, and then felt the need to shoot her in the head instead of taking her to the vet 20 minutes away. Turns out, Allie started having seizures at 3:30 a.m. and when Whalen realized she was not going to come out of it (about 40 minutes later), he decided against putting her in the car to drive her to her death.

In the interview linked below, Whalen says he wouldn't have been able to control Allie while she was in such bad shape and didn't feel it was safe to make the 20 minute drive to the 24-hour emergency hospital.

My dad shot our white German Shepard. The vet said she should be put down because she couldn't walk anymore. My dad claimed that the way the dog looked at him was like "please don't let me die here" so he choked up and couldn't do it. Instead he went home, got drunk, fed her a steak and shot her in the head. He buried her in our own yard however. Had her own tombstone and everything.

So yeah I kinda think it's bullshit.

Arizona Verdict

Daniel Shaver, a 26-year-old husband and father of two young daughters, was staying at the La Quinta Inn for business in January of 2016. He invited two other guests in to his room for drinks after work.

At one point, he was telling them about his job and pointed an air pellet rifle out the hotel window. Shaver was a pest control specialist who had been hired to exterminate birds which were infiltrating a Walmart store.

A couple of hotel guests by the pool saw the gun through the window and rightly called the hotel desk. The clerk rightly called the police. That's when shit got ugly.

Several officers went to the hotel and ordered the occupants out of the room and into the hallway. You can watch and listen to what went down when officer Brailsford took control in the body cam footage below. It made my heart race.

^ Brailsford was fired about a month after the shooting for several policy violations, including unsatisfactory performance. He used his personal AR15 (which he was allowed to use on the job) to shoot Shaver. Inscribed on the rifle was "YOU'RE FUCKED".

Prosecutors charged Brailsford with second degree murder and many who've seen the video said the shooting was an execution, pure and simple.

Shaver was unarmed when he was shot to death. He had reached to pull up his shorts after Brailsford ordered him to crawl towards the officers, with his legs crossed behind his back and his arms forward.

Brailsford claims he was terrified for himself and the fellow officers on the scene and believed Shaver was reaching for a weapon.

A detective testified that it looked liked that, but also much like Shaver was reaching to pull up his shorts. The detective also noted that he didn't see any reason why the cops hadn't just handcuffed Shaver when he was flat on the ground with his hands stretched out.

The jury just found Brailsford 'not guilty'. Bullshit or appropriate?

Appropriate, not good but appropriate.
Shaver appeared to be unable to follow the police simple instructions, was told multiple times what would happen if he did not follow.
THEN because of a Stupid fashion trend, baggy ass clothing that will not stay in place, he reached for the waistband...stupid stupid stupid...
All that on top of a situation he created, waving a gun around in a hotel window...
Maybe the cop gave some conflicting instructions after the guy started fucking up, but that does Not make it murder
