It's my understanding that he's the grandfather of Jessica Mitchell, Adub.

I think it's most likely that Deorr wandered off too, but all possibilities are still wide open.

I hope this doesn't turn out to be one of those cases where nothing is ever found and there's no closure.

That could be.

Nothing at all has been released about the other person except that he was gramps' friend and unknown to Deorr's parents prior to the camping trip.

We don't know yet how long gramps has known the guy, if the guy is also a senior, what the guy was doing when gramps was presumed by the parents to be watching little Deorr...

He could just be a nice old man who tagged along with gramps to do some fishing or something. But, he's an unknown factor at this point.

It would be extremely unlucky if in that 10-15 minute time frame there just happened to be some lunatic in the woods waiting to snatch up a kid and disappear into thin air.

Yeah, I so agree. And it might be worth noting that if you're going camping
in the woods don't dress your kids in camouflage .

Why did the kid not scream if he was abducted? Too many holes in the story. And very sad.

It's just curious to me, is all.

Dude, I'd totally lie to 911 if I was her. "How long has your son been missing?" "We've been looking for 15 minutes." "Oh, well we can't do anything till he's been missing for an hour. Maybe he's inside the tent. Keep looking for 45 minutes and then call back."

Not that that's the rule, but I'd say whatever I thought would get help out there immediately. With the amount of times you've seen in movies and shows that police have a 24 hour rule for missing persons, I'd be frantic to get help ASAP. If she embellished the missing time, I wouldn't bat an eye.

Or maybe he was snatched up by a Patriot?

Did we check Hernandez's cell?

Yeah, I can see mom saying an hour because she was a nervous wreck and it seemed like they'd searched for longer than they had, or because she thought it would get authorities to the site more quickly.

I agree that it's understandable if one of those is the reason for the discrepancy in the time line.

I'm really curious about the time line in general but don't think LE is gonna release any details of the investigation soon, unless they find Deorr.

Anyway, I hope they find Deorr today.

Every time I see that child's name I can't help but wonder if she meant to name him Dior.

I know that's dumb to even think that given the reason we are discussing him.

Thanks Adub.

From People Magazine:

It has been seven days since Jessica Mitchell has seen her 2-year-old son DeOrr Kunz – and it's taking a visible toll on her.

"The look on her face – in seven days it looks like she's aged 10 years," Mitchell's father-in-law, also named DeOrr Kunz, tells PEOPLE. "Her baby is gone."

On July 10, while on a family camping trip in the mountains near Leadore, Idaho, little DeOrr disappeared, officials say. The Lemhi County Sheriff's Department received a 911 call at about 2:30 p.m. after the boy had been missing for an hour. "We've had people out there since this first started," says a spokesman for the department. "Every avenue is being investigated."

The elder Kunz says the boy's parents were setting up camp and assumed Mitchell's grandfather, who was also on the trip, was watching the boy. The grandfather assumed the boy's parents were watching him, says Kunz.

"There's a four-minute window where no one had an eye on him," says Kunz, 70. "My grandson is paying the ultimate price for this."

As of now, investigators are still combing the camp site, officials say. The boy's parents refuse to come down from the site until they have a definitive answer that their son, who loved trucks and carried a baby blanket, is not there.

"My family has been torn apart," says Kunz. "He's my little buddy. I don't wish this on anybody."

While Mitchell, 25, continues to wait for any news, she clutches her son's baby blue blanket, which he left behind.

"The blanket was in the truck, so Jessica now has got that blanket and she will not let go of it. She holds it, smells it, loves it," Kunz says. "It's the only attachment she has to that boy right now."

---------------------------

I don't know where Deorr Sr.'s dad got the "four-minute window". Maybe Jessica's grandfather was watching the baby for part of the time, saw him toddle off towards his parents, and figured they'd see him?

That's basically what the father said in the video that you posted, grandpa let the little boy go to see his parents figuring they would see him. Which is believable to me because I could picture my dumbass FIL doing that. That's why I don't let him watch my kid.

Seems like a four minute window wasn't a whole lot of time for a just so happened passer by "kidnapper" to be there to snatch the kid, or even for a predator to grab the kid and drag him off without the kid screaming, yelling & crying. (Kid just vanished in thin air?) Surely one of the close by parents & or the GF would have heard something. Seemingly the parent's presented scenario has gotten more questionable with each and every passing hour/day.
I want to believe they are not killer's, but . . . . .
