As with anywhere and anybody though - the vast majority of people are nice simple family people living their lives and aren't as stupid as some of the above posters think they are and can separate the actions of the state to the populous.
But i agree with you, nobody likes a busybody telling people what to do and how to live their lives, and if you stand on a scorpion you might get tagged.
