If only Finicum was black we could have a hearty protest.

That takes the cake!

There's supposed to be a press conference later today with details of the arrest incident.

According to CNN, officials reported that none of the Bundy crew resisted arrest, except for Finicum and Ryan Bundy, who was shot in the arm but is fine.

It would have been the best possible outcome for LE to take them all into custody with no shots fired; I believe LE would have done so if at all possible.

Of course, Cliven Bundy and Bundy supporters are claiming that Finicum was murdered in cold-blood, despite the fact that Finicum asserted on video more than once that he would resist arrest and die fighting if LE tried to detain him.

I would like to see video of that released then. Not because I question it at all, simply because I'd like to see them proven wrong in a public fashion.

I've made some comments about LE doing nothing but I believe they've done the right thing by the way they have conducted themselves throughout all of this. I was wrong in commenting the way I did.

The remaining occupiers were encouraged by LE to leave today. Instead, a couple of them vowed to stay and fight the law. Some of them reportedly called for Armageddon.

Tonight, through his attorney, Ammon Bundy released a statement telling them to stand down and go home. I don't know if he did that in order to get a deal, to limit his liability if more got killed, because he had a change of heart about the cause being worth dying for, or some combination. Whichever, I'm glad he issued that directive and hope it's followed.

There weren't many details given at the press conference today. I think if there's a video, it will probably show that Finicum essentially committed suicide by cop. That's just my opinion based on his statements.

Hoping the refuge is voluntarily cleared out tomorrow and more details will be revealed.

Armageddon is a big word. Calling for it doesn't mean it will actually happen, it has many meanings and its usually personal Armageddon they are talking about. We will all continue on no matter when someone proclaims that its actually here. Anyone that believes it is better have their finger on the launch button otherwise its a false claim.

Yes Maggot. I understand that the end of days and Armageddon are not upon us just because yet another group of extremists call for it.

In this specific case, they will likely only get themselves and/or LEOs killed if they act on their violent mindsets. The former would be unnecessary given the fact that the occupiers have been given non violent options to end the their criminal activity time and again. The latter would be a fucking tragedy, in my view.

Here's what the refuge occupiers streamed out to fellow militants across the country:
"There are no laws in this United States now! This is a free-for-all Armageddon!” a heavyset man holding a rifle yelled into a camera that was broadcast from the refuge Wednesday morning, adding that if “they stop you from getting here, kill them!”
Ref: http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-oreg...story.html

It's puzzling to me why any sane person would attempt to minimize or rationalize that call to action by any armed extremists, regardless as to how the individual extremists define 'Armageddon' , where they're located, or the nature of their cause.

Whatta dumbass. I hope that fat fuck is hauled off to jail too. They are a stupid, ridiculous group of people, everyone from their self proclaimed leaders to those that follow them. Their comments & actions are simple minded. Daily I alternate between shaking my head at just how dumb they are to laughing at their ridiculous comments.

Well, 8 more of the 'patriots' left the refuge last night.

One of them was Jason Patrick who became the "we won't budge!" defacto leader after the Bundys arrest. I don't know if he was the Armageddon dude.

Patrick and two others were arrested and charged with conspiracy. "The arrests were without incident," the FBI said in a statement.

^ Dylan W. Anderson, Jason Patrick and Duane Leo Ehmer

The other five people were released, according to the FBI.

It was unclear how many people were still inside the wildlife building but the FBI said it was working "around the clock to empty the refuge of the armed occupiers in the safest way possible."

The asshat yelling into the live cam was Sean Anderson. He and his wife are still there at the moment, I believe. Along with Fry, the videographer, and a couple of more. It's basically the 5 holdouts from a couple of days ago. The live videos are hilarious. Especially the chat box on the side.

I wonder how many people are out there at that site right now including the media. The place must be a really cold zoo right about now and selling burgers and coffee might be profitable.

Well it's official (kind of), Lavoy reached for his waist band.
Now that is rich considering that Black Lives Matter.

Report: LaVoy Finicum, armed with a handgun, reached for his waistband just before he was shot

Authorities chose a cold, deserted stretch of highway to attempt a traffic stop. One vehicle complied with orders and pulled over, but the other — allegedly driven by Finicum — sped off at high speed, according to the report.

A mile away, though, Finicum reportedly ran into a roadblock. When he tried to go around the roadblock, his truck got stuck in a snowbank.

When Finicum emerged from the vehicle, FBI and state police ordered him to surrender, according to the report. Instead, the Arizona cattle rancher, a day shy of his 55th birthday, reached down toward his waistband, where he kept his Colt .45, CNN reported.

No media, they left on the recommendation of the Eff Bee Eye days ago. Even those that are still there have walked away from the comforts of the refuge.

We got Sean Anderson and his wife, Fry, the videographer, and someone named Jeff Banta from TX? Sean is one of those 3% that farts a lot and talks big talk about the size of his dick.

Sean has a federal warrant waiting for him so he's not wanting to leave. He was getting kind of whiney last night when the videographer wouldn't pass him the pipe. I guess the ganga supply is getting low.

Here's a video of LaVoy being shot. It appears it was taken from a drone or helicopter. If there is one from a body cam I haven't been able to find it yet.

Here's slide show video footage of the traffic stop; it shows both vehicles (Bundy's and Finicum's) with captions as to what was occurring.

http://www.cnn.com/2016/01/29/us/lavoy-f...index.html

Finicum initially complied and stopped in the road in the white truck, with Bundy's jeep behind him.

Then, he put the pedal to the metal and took off, running into an LE roadblock. He drove into a snow bank.

The female passengers stayed inside the truck. Finicum got out and moved away from his vehicle, reportedly with his hands up (hard for me to see).

Officers had their guns drawn and moved towards him. That's when he reportedly made a move for his waistband (hard for me to see) where he kept his Colt and was shot.

I expect there will be enhanced / zoomed-in video made available soon enough.

I think it's clear that Finicum wasn't killed in cold blood like some anti-government conspiracy peeps will undoubtedly continue to insist. And, he sure as hell wasn't down on his knees in the snow with his hands up like that dipshit Michele Fiore claims (she says she was told by Ammon Bundy's wife, who was told by Ammon Bundy, who wasn't even at the shooting scene but called his wife on his cell phone to tell her what happened from the back of a squad car).

Anyway, Finicum could have exited at the initial stop and been arrested, like Ryan Payne did. He and Ryan Bundy instead chose to resist arrest after Payne got out, put two female passengers' lives at risk, and facilitate a confrontation with officers. I think Finicum meant what he told a reporter from beneath his blue tarp with his gun by his side not long after the illegal occupation began. He knew there was a warrant out for his arrest and said that he wasn't gonna live in a concrete box, that wasn't an option for him. He chose the other option.
