Kavanaugh, specifically, is a big win for Trump and his devotees because of his unique opinions regarding severely limiting the Congress’s and the judiciary’s ability to check the President’s authority and to hold the Executive branch accountable for violations.
Fortunately, I think a lot of US citizens are much more aware of what’s at stake than they were 2 years ago. I hope that motivates massive voter turnout in November which takes the congress out of full Republican control and motivates massive voter turnout in 2020 which results in electing a President committed to uniting and representing all US citizens.
That’s the way to put the country on a better course regardless of the current Supreme Court’s composition. We’ll have to live with that ideological composition for the foreseeable future, in no small part due to the cheating of that cocksucka Mitch McConnell. ‘)
