She talked to him of the horrors, she's been raped repeatedly, she told him about her family being murdered and that muthafucker went on to ask her where her family is. He could not even be bothered to get the fuck up out of the chair!

I don't know how anyone can defend that.

If anyone steps in to do that-just don't.

Do not.

Nope.

Don't do it.

Trump can't hear negativity
He thinks Isis is defeated and all is well
He doesn't understand that she has no where safe to go

Let me re-iterate what I said. Or re-phrase it. He thinks that if ISIS is gone-all is well. But it is not. That is what she was telling him. She still has no where safe to go and now others are taking over. She was asking for help.
You showing me that map Fry Guy is part of the problem.
You are so quick to want to show that Trump can't possibly be wrong.

I have been looking for the full video, because just seeing the part where Nadia Murad talks is not helpful to the whole situation. I did not find a full video but I did find the transcript. I know this is President trying to be helpful and trying to listen, I get that, and I am glad he had the people (survivors of religious persecution) in his office and at the White House.
It would be helpful if he knew more about thier sistuations before talking to them-but you know-he is so busy-so he asks them right there.
I want to comment on his responses-sometimes he says, "That is tough, a tough situation" Other times he says, "You are okay now?" I mean yes, those people are safe at the moment-but thier loved ones and their countries are not. I feel there is sort of a disconnect and at one point Trump says, "We helped" when the person just said the world helped. It appeared as if he were focusing on "OH Yay the US helped!"

Here is Nadia's comment about not being able to go back home:
MS. MURAD:    Now there is no ISIS, but we cannot go back because Kurdish government and the Iraqi government, they are fighting each other who will control my area.

I'll just post that whole section of the interview:

And we cannot go back, if we cannot protect our dignity, our family.  But we get a lot of support from President Macron.  He push — he put a lot of pressure in Iraqi and Kurdistan government to help minorities.  The Yazidis will stay in their home, but we still continue to emigrate to find a safe place to live.  I hope you can call or anything to Iraqi and Kurdistan government to —

THE PRESIDENT:  But ISIS is gone?

MS. MURAD:  But, if I can —

THE PRESIDENT:  And now it’s Kurdish and —

MS. MURAD:  And Iraqi.  Iraqi government.  If I cannot go to my home and live in a safe place and get my — like, my dignity back, this is not about ISIS, it’s about (inaudible).  My people cannot go back.  We are not million of people; we are only half million people.  And after 2014, about 95 years — 95,000 years, Yazidi, they immigrate to Germany through a very dangerous way.  Not because we want to be a refugee, but we cannot find a safe place to live.  All this happened to me.  They killed my mom, my six brother.  They left behind —

THE PRESIDENT:  Where are they now?

MS. MURAD:  They killed them.  They are in the mass graves in Sinjar.  And I’m still fighting just to live in safe.  Please do something.  And it’s not about one family —

THE PRESIDENT:  I know the area very well, you’re talking about.  It’s a tough — yeah.

MS. MURAD:  It’s about half million.  It’s about the whole community.

THE PRESIDENT:  Okay.  Well, we’ll continue very strong.

MS. MURAD:  Thank you so much.

THE PRESIDENT:  Thank you.  And you had the Nobel Prize?

MS. MURAD:  Yeah.

THE PRESIDENT:  That’s incredible.  They gave it to you for what reason?  They can explain.

(I believe he asks saying that others might not understand why she got the Nobel Peace Prize, but it was because he did not understand.)

MS. MURAD:  For what reason?  For that — after all this happen to me, I can — I make it clear to everyone that ISIS raped thousands of Yazidi women.  This one was first time the woman from Iraq, she gave out and spoke about it happen.

THE PRESIDENT:  Oh really?  Is that right?

MS. MURAD:  And it’s —

THE PRESIDENT:  It’s the first time?

MS. MURAD:  First time.  And it’s —

THE PRESIDENT:  So you escaped.

MS. MURAD:  I escaped, but I don’t — I don’t have my freedom yet because —

THE PRESIDENT:  I understand.

MS. MURAD:  — you didn’t see any ISIS (inaudible).  It (inaudible).  ISIS are — we don’t know if they killed everyone, if they are in jail, but we know we have 3,000 Yazidi women and children, including my niece, my nephew, my sister-in-law.  Three years ago, she call us.  She said, “I am in Syria.”  And now, we didn’t know anything about her.

THE PRESIDENT:  Let me look.  We’re going to look, okay?  Thank you very much.

MS. MURAD:  Thank you so much.

Perhaps he does understand and perhaps he will try to help these people as he says he will. I would like to think so.

They decimated ISIS.
ISIS as a Caliphate? Gone.
ISIS as an army? Gone
ISIS as a transnational threat? Gone.

Does that mean that there are not any disenfranchised ex-Army ISIS army members in that area? No
Does that mean that here are not people who hold sympathies with ISIS ideologically? No
Does that mean that there are not ISIS like gangs or what not? No.

Saying he defeated it and that ISIS is gone as above can mean two separate things. Where is the ISIS army if he has not defeated them/ Nowhere. It does not mean that ever ISIS member was killed in action. Or that every ISIS member that escaped immediately converted to Mormon the moment they arrived home. They kept their ideology

Indeed.
Unfortunately these sort of things haven't only happened under Trump's watch, it has been a pattern in our history. Go in-wipe the bad guys out-leave the country with little structure or help.
And then wipe our hands and leave.
It is sad.

If only.

...and if only Mitch McConnell were right there beside him.

Now the crazy muthafucka is saying "I was down there also but I'm not considering myself a first responder. But I was down there! I spent a lot of time down there with you". He's certifiable.
