Cute little peds or the old man's thick warm sweat socks?

Glasses too. Nude but for socks and glasses. And a smile. Now I'm laughing because I must look ridiculous. My feet were cold.

How are you doing on your low-carb eating plan, sal?

Like a bongo drum at burning man.

Low carb is tough, I hated spaghetti up until a few years ago. I like it now but can only eat it in small bowls. Now that I think of it everything I eat now is in small bowls. Good home baked bread is tough to walk past too. The smell is what hooks a person. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM with butter!
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

Good with the food, but that was never my problem anyway. Bad with the alcohol. My husband is a bad influence. I'm Starting all over again Monday. Why not tomorrow? Who the hell starts a healthy diet on a Friday?

How are you doing? If you stuck to it I can't imagine you have much more to lose. Then it's just maintaining it.

It's easier on the food than alcohol side for me too. I'm older than you by several years and it's much easier to gain and harder to lose than even just three years ago. Hormones, I guess.

So, I'm not only on very low carbs, but also very low calories. I feel a lot better with the healthier diet and work-outs, but should probably increase the calories and go into maintenance mode after 3 more pounds; don't want to lose too much. I think the low-carb is gonna have to be a permanent lifestyle to avoid gaining. I really like eggs, turkey bacon, meats, spinach with garlic, moderate amounts of cheese, mustards.....so I don't feel deprived (aside from no potatoes and no chips and salsa).

For the alcohol, I have 5 ounces of wine most nights and 10 on the weekends. That's more challenging than the food restrictions, but I'm not a wine snob or anything. I just like the relaxing buzz after listening to people complain all day. So, I mix the last 14 with ice and diet Cranberry or Club Soda and stretch it out. Or, if I have more calories than carbs to spare, I'll spread out 3 ounces of Vodka, which has no carbs at all.

I gave myself a calorie restriction reprieve at the casino, but stuck to the carb limit. Alaskan king crab, lobster, steak, fajitas without tortillas.... and lots and lots of Vodka. Didn't gain but didn't lose either. It was a fun break, however I get wasted pretty easily these days (not a bad thing).

I'm down 25 from Jan. 4th and pissed at myself for throwing out some jeans and blazers that didn't fit late last year. I really don't like clothes shopping.

I've read about carb cycling which tricks your body into constantly burning fat which I think I'm going to try. It's a cycle of high carb, low carb, no carb days and then repeat or something like that. But on high carb days that doesn't mean you get to drink beer and eat potato salad all day. You have to eat healthy carbs.

I'm interested in hearing if that cycling works well for you, sal.

It sounds good and better for muscle tone than the constant low carb diet. Some days I feel kinda weak working out; probably because my carb intake is so low.

It would be easy for me to eat lots of fruits and vegetable on the high carb cycling days. I don't eat any fruit and few vegetables (only lettuce, spinach, and broccoli) on the low carb plan.

I read that the high carb day is the hardest for people who've been on strict low carb for so long. Not because it's not enjoyable, but because it's more filling and they're scared they'll gain weight. But that's the day you're confusing your body and actually tricking it into raising it's metabolism.

Sally, just thought I would say to you I don't like Vegemite that much either. I love Promite or Marmite, and it you put it on with real fresh butter on a cruskit or crumpet or fresh bread, it is really something special. Just don't slather it on, put it on moderately. Will you go out of your way for me and try it as an US/USSR citizen and give me unbiased feedback. Thanks Aussie.

I have tried Marmite. They have it at the grocery store here. I bought that because I couldn't find Vegemite and I figured that was the next closest thing.

To me it was salty and beefy tasting. It was like if you roasted a prime rib and made the drippings into a paste. I liked it actually.

I'm half Russian by the way so maybe next time I'll enjoy my marmite with caviar and a shot of vodka.

It tasted kind of like Clang's armpits. Beefy and salty with the texture of skin tags.

Clang would have send something gross so I'm just beating him to it.

Nah, you're talking about Marmite, I would have posted a pic of a Marmot.

And fuck you, my armpits are rarely beefy and salty. Only when I'm on vacation and only shower every other day.
