THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY

Good luck with that.

The legal president for this was already established when Clinton was deposed in office about Monica Lewinsky. For you Trump haters this story is the real threat to his presidency. The woman accusing him was an avid supporter, and imho has real credibility.

If he lies under oath like Clinton the lame stream media will not support the lie and crucify him in the court of public opinion until he resigns in disgrace like Nixon. If he tells the truth the house will impeach him.

This is the real threat; the Russia crap is a political witch hunt. Get ready for President Pence.

I don't know Pappy.

There are more than a dozen women who've come forward and accused Trump of sexual harassment and/or assault, many of them appear credible to me (similar stories, accounts that match up to what Trump bragged about doing on the Access Hollywood tape and to Howard Stern, not all Hillary supporters...). They're strongly requesting a hearing.

Three of them did interviews and held a press conference yesterday. Nothing is happening, except that some elected Democrats are asking President Trump to step down. The one who filed a suit for defamation against him, Summer something, is not likely to get too far while he's in office, in my opinion.

He didn't drop out of the presidential race when the accusations were first brought forth during the campaign and he's not gonna resign over them. And, as long as the Congress is Republican majority in both houses, I think there's slim to no chance he's going to face an investigation over it either.

If we end up with a President Pence due to Trump stepping (or being pushed) down, I think it's much more likely that it will be over corrupt financial practices or obstruction of justice.

He didn't step down, 'cause he felt it was his right & privilege to grab any twat he wanted to/ Never mind that all those twats threw themselves at him. They'll get a payday now, Because #metoo!

I agree that Trump probably felt entitled to assault/harass women. But, I don't think we see the #MeToo movement the same way Cannongal. Anyway, maybe one or more of Trump's accusers will get a payout. We'll see.

A payout for sexual harassment is usually offered to keep something out of the public arena, to avoid/minimize a scandal, and/or to stave off criminal charges.

If any of Trump's accusers asks for or gets offered a payout, it will probably be the one suing him for defamation if the civil court accepts her case while he's in office. Defamation is often hard to prove. Sicko Cosby called all his accusers 'liars' publicly too; the ones who filed a joint defamation suit lost.

But, Trump's attorneys know that the Lewinsky scandal took off because President Clinton had to go through an investigation/deposition for Paula Jones' criminal sexual harassment case against him. Her case was ultimately dismissed due to lack of legal merit, but spurred the perjury impeachment charges against President Clinton because he lied under oath about Lewinsky in the Jones deposition. Jones appealed the decision, which would have left Clinton open to being questioned under oath again while still in office. He chose to settle with her for $850,000 instead.

So, maybe Summer Zervos and Gloria Allred will get some money out of it if a whole lotta factors go their way and that's what they're looking for.

Welcome to the politicizing of gender. A Miss U.S.A. contender saying Trump OOgled her and a Clinton operative saying he invited her up to 1st class in order to grop and fondle her as others watched. I'm not sure what the other one did but I hope they come up with better evidence of what Trump did a very long time before he was President in order for it not to look like a politically motivated smear campaign.

Americans are kinda numb but not THAT numb.

That gender-politicization welcome mat you're just now seeing and wiping your feet on is almost 100 years old Maggot.

Women had to fight for our rights to vote for our political leaders; suffrage was a gender-centric political movement. Equal rights for the female gender has long been a political cause. At this particular moment, women are pushing back against being sexually harassed on-the-job and off-the job. A very good thing, as far as I 'm concerned.

Politically, I can understand and respect women coming forward to speak out when they're watching some dipshit snake oil salesman and/or holy roller (to borrow Sal's term) who sexually harassed/abused them rising to power based on self-proclaimed godliness, family values, and bullshit proclamations like "nobody respects women more than I do".

Politicians who disrespect and minimize women in private can't and shouldn't be blindly trusted to respect the input and the best interests of the women they'll be representing when they get into office.

Now that the patriarchal society-imposed gag has been torn off, women are sharing their experiences and pushing back. That doesn't make it a smear campaign or an attack by women against men.

Rather, it's about women saying enough is enough and calling that bullshit out. You have no idea how it feels to be on the receiving end; to be sexually harassed by some asshole who thinks he's entitled, especially in the workplace.

When there are a lot of accusers, there might be some who are more bandwagon-jumpers than anything else. That doesn't make all the accusers liars, nor does it make the accused any more or less innocent or guilty.

This American believes that Trump (like Roy Moore) did what most of the women say he did. I think that because I heard him confess and brag about that kind of behavior on tape more than once, and because I've listened to the women. And, I'm not THAT numb. Smiley_emoticons_smile

Anyway, "The Patriarchy" isn't the best way or the only way and has proven to be less-than-ideal, in my opinion. Times are changing fast in that regard -- for the better, in my opinion. But some men will inevitably see progress towards equal gender rights and respect as some kind of attack or smear on them because they still think they're gender-entitled to dominate and lead. We're used to that.

I understand.

I don't believe every woman just because she's a woman.

However, I've experienced the sexual harassment bullshit enough to know that it happens all the time and to relate to a lot of the experiences women are sharing.

Some bandwagon-jumpers are inevitable on any movement. That doesn't negate the truthfulness of the movement itself, in my opinion.

Difference of opinion; no problem.

In heaven, to hear the evangelicals talk, there is apparently a huge distinction between east and west. As well as a distinction between gay and straight, white and non white, middle eastern prophet and other middle eastern prophet, rich and poor, American and not American, and finally: precious life (in utero) and worthless life (anything post-birth, poor, or ethnic). Sounds like just the place to spend eternity.

However, your post made realize I left out a key part of my original assertion and perhaps caused confusion among the intellectually challenged on this board. So allow me to clarify.
What I meant to say was: Fuck fake Christians. Fuck christianity. Fuck evangelicals. And fuck Pyropappy and anyone of his ilk.
Also in the neck.

Without lube.

Using a chainsaw.

Does that clear it up for you, old timer? Good talk!
Thank god I am oblivious to the opinions of others while caught in the blinding splendor of my own cleverness.

Fields attended a preliminary hearing yesterday.

Prosecutors upped the charges against him from second-degree murder (which essentially means he should have known his actions could cause injury or death) to first-degree murder (which essentially means he intended to cause injury or death).

After hearing evidence in the case, Judge Robert Downer granted the Commonwealth’s motion to certify one felony count of hit and run, five felony counts of malicious wounding, three felony counts of aggravated malicious wounding and one felony count of first degree murder.

Heather Heyers' parents attended the hearing, as did the organizer of the deadly Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville.
