For the same jobs and all other factors equal, women make on average 6% less than what men make, sally.
And, the people (lotta men at the marches too) were making their voices heard on a variety of issues and rights that they believe have been threatened or are at risk under the new government.
It wasn't just about issues/rights that are typically described as women's issues, like gender pay equality and right to choose/reproductive rights.
It was also about how the repeal of Obamacare will affect women, men, and families of lower income along with those who want to keep the quality coverage they couldn't get before Obamacare. It was about equal rights for gay women, and gay men, and gay kids. It was about immigrants' rights. Etc.
I viewed it mostly as people marching for equality, and in protest of any plans to strip women and people-in-general of their current rights/protections.
