Looks like there's gonna be a vote today on another CR to re-open the government until Congress can agree on a permanent funding bill. This one is said to be a shorter extension, expiring on February 8th.
Senate majority leader McConnell made a public statement that it's 'his intention' to bring an immigration reform bill to the floor if an agreement can't be reached by then.
But, he's promised Republican and Democratic senators the same such intention on other issues the last couple of times that temporary extensions were requested and his intent did not become reality. So, there's skepticism that he'll come through this time if yet another CR is approved.
Anyway, we'll see soon enough if the Congress can come together to end this shutdown today.
