McInnes is just one of a crop of far right provocateurs feeding on disgruntled vulnerable people who want to belong to something.
For the Proud Boys, engaging in violence is a requirement for membership. That's something conservatives and those on the right (as opposed to the far right extreme) claim to vehemently oppose.
Anyway, McInnes is looking to grow his fan base and following; he loves controversy and media attention. His main targets of ire have been revised over the years. Feminists are at the top of the list this time around. Feminism is a war against masculinity, according to his rhetoric.
The "toxic masculinity" and "toxic feminism" spiels are just garbage, in my opinion. Some people of both sexes, for a myriad of reasons.... are angry, and bitter, and compelled to disparage/pummel/blame others to make themselves feel better. Same as it ever was.
Unfortunately for the Proud Boys, when their 'gang' (as McInnes sometimes refers to them) fades out, they'll still be physically branded and some of them will have violent criminal records, in addition to their other shortcomings. That will really help them attract decent women alright.
Which of McInnes' views are FAR right? Not which of his views are Conservatives or Right Wing, which are FAR Right?
