Tad Cummins Trial Kidnapping/other charges
#1
Elizabeth is now with family in an undisclosed location in Nashville.

Here's some of the lastest. I'll post other articles as I find them.

In the days before he allegedly abducted his 15-year-old student, Tennessee teacher Tad Cummins refilled a prescription for Cialis, took out a loan for quick cash and made hotel reservations in another state, actions investigators believe show he was planning to leave with the girl.

Details about those facts and other surprising revelations were found in the criminal complaint against Cummins in the sensational case.

The federal warrant against Tad Cummins charges him with transporting a minor across state lines with the intent of engaging in sexual activity.

Cummins, 50, was arrested Thursday in a rural area in Siskiyou County, California.

Elizabeth Thomas, the 15-year-old who’s been the subject of a national AMBER Alert and search, was rescued from the scene, investigators said. She was located more than a month after she was last seen at home in Columbia, Tennessee.

Article about the cabin

http://abcnews.go.com/US/inside-isolated...d=46934143

The tiny cabin where authorities found former Tennessee teacher Tad Cummins and his 15-year-old student, Elizabeth Thomas, is nestled in the woods in a remote, mountainous area of inland, northernmost California near the Oregon border.

ABC News traveled to Cecilville and was able to catch a glimpse of the isolated cabin where the pair stayed, although much of the area is cordoned off for the ongoing investigation.

According to what I had read earlier her mother is a horrible individual and it sounds like this teacher gave the girl love & attention. It's certainly very wrong but I can see why she would have been drawn to that. He gave her what she should have been getting at home.

Yes, she was a horrible person. And I can see why she would gravitate towards Cummins if he was showing her the love she so craved. It's so sad all around. Her poor father was clueless (as far as I know) to the abuse. It wasn't until the mom was arrested, did he find out. He took those children in and tried to work full time and take care of all the Littles. Another sad thing is, poor Elizabeth has to be in court in May to testify against her mother. I'm sure that's gonna be hard for her too.

A tough read

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-...mmune.html

The Tennessee teacher accused of kidnapping a 15-year-old student spent ten days hiding with her at a remote hippy commune in the California wilderness where they posed as a married couple, planned to stay 'forever' and were seen 'making out' like lovers by a camp fire.

Yes. I'm hoping she won't have to take the stand and she can be questioned behind closed doors in the judges chamber.

Just curious...Do you think a high profile attorney will try taking on this case? If so, who? Or do you think Cummins will take a plea deal for less time and to save himself extra embarrassment?

A little info about ETs mother.

http://m.waaytv.com/appnews/thomas-famil...19401.html

Friday, Elizabeth Thomas's family attorney released a statement that said she was reunited with her family and in a safe location.

Thomas was missing for 39 days after allegedly being taken by her high school teacher Tad Cummins.

The pair allegedly had a romantic relationship. Cummins was arrested Thursday after the pair was found living in a remote cabin in Northern California.

Since the news of Thomas' disappearance her case has been surrounded by rumors that the 15-year-old was trying to escape a bad home life, something Thomas family friends deny.

Paula Boand said her prayers were answered when she found out Thomas was safe. She's known Thomas' family for 12 years.

The ten Thomas kids even helped her out on a farm down the road from their home with chores.

"I was with them 90% of the time," said Boand.

The anguished mother of the missing Tennessee schoolgirl allegedly kidnapped by her married 50-year-old teacher has pleaded with him to bring her home safely.

Church-going Tad Cummins is suspected of grooming Elizabeth Thomas, 15, to be his teen 'bride' then fleeing with her when their warped 'relationship' was uncovered.

Her mother Kimberly Thomas, 48, told DailyMail.com in an exclusive interview that she fears Cummins could get her trusting daughter pregnant - or even killed.

This is just my opinion, no, I don't think so. High profile defense attorneys command high fees and this guy doesn't appear to have that kind of money and I don't see one doing it pro bono.
