I wasn’t sure it would last, quite frankly.
She’s 4 months old, a yellow lab/black poodle mix.
She chases balls like a lab, jumps up on people and the table like a lab, and nips like a poodle.
Since Day 1 she’s been attached to my wife like a hand to glove. My wife wasn’t ready for that, but since she’s at home, it’s a good thing.
However, and I mean this literally, she interrupts EVERYTHING, including the bedroom.
If we want action, have to put her in her kennel or outside and then she barks like crazy.
It’s been a tough 6 weeks and I’m worn out as is she.
I’m finally getting her into some training/obedience classes in the next week or so, and as she gets older, I hope she settles down and this gets better.
She’s really cute and friendly and very smart. I know there’s willful disobedience going on, but I’ve been much more patient than I thought I was capable of.
And, yes, the kids are ecstatic and that’s why we’re doing this.
