Holy moly. The Republicans have lost George Will. He publicly said to vote out the GOP. George Will!

I think Will left the Republican party and became an Independent when Trump was elected. But his Op Ed piece today was nonetheless quite a change of heart/mind from his recent past.

He is still a traditional conservative and true to conservative principles, which he believes Trump defies.

Will also still looks very negatively on Democrats on the whole, but clearly considers Democrat politicians the lesser of two evils who need to take majority control of the House in order to balance out a bunch of cultish cowardly GOP congresspersons who've sold their souls and principles (according to his piece).

I think Steve Schmidt did it better, but Will deserves credit for taking the risk and standing by his principles.

He's very eloquent. I often see him on panels giving a Republican point of view and I respect his opinions.

...and he's pretty much hot stuff too. Hubba Hubba. Sometimes in photographs he reminds me of one of the guys you pal around with.

Steve Schmidt does look a little like my friend Kurt.

Kurt’s usually very mellow. He can get his rant on once in a rare while, though not at Steve Schmidt level.

I agree, Schmidt is very articulate. And, he’s one righteous ranter. I like his commentary as well.

Best political ad I've ever seen.

I don't think the donks will fare very well this year. There is a growing movement of disgruntled libs exiting the radical left, just as hey did in 1969. Most of you were shitting yellow in 1969 if you were even born; I wasn't. I wached the news every night.

I have warned you are being lied to; these people have figured that out. People today are aware of SDS, Cloward and Piven and Saul Alinsky. People rejected the violence then, and they will reject it today. MLK understood this; the radical left embraces violence.

The Socialism being pushed by the radical left has never worked, and it never will. People in this country understand that as well.

I hope you're wrong about the Dems not doing well in elections this year Pappy.

They've been doing well in special elections since the 2016 presidential election; I'd love to see that carry over into the November midterms and see the Dems take majority control of the House. The Republican-controlled House is a joke. They can't agree among themselves on key issues and they're sure as hell not fulfilling their duty to check the Executive.

I think there's only a slim chance that the Dems will take majority control of the Senate this year, but the House is a strong possibility, in my opinion.

There are 23 Democratic Senate seats, eight Republican Senate seats, and two Senate seats held by independents up for election in 2018; hence, the partisan risk for the Republican Party is low. In 2018, the Democrat Party will need to pick up two seats in the Senate in order to regain the majority they lost in 2014.

As for the House of Representatives: following the 2016 general election, the Democrat Party has already gained six seats. They picked up seven seats while only losing one in Nebraska. The Democratic Party needs to pick up 24 more seats in this year to win the chamber.

I was reading about this myth earlier. It's not true, Pappy and when you present it like that you are propagating it.

Go directly to the source, because it is true. Listen to the man in his words. Watch the interviews; he speaks directly about this fake news. Watch the numbers grow.

Steve Schmidt's anger sustains me. You can practically see spittle flying when he gets going.

That's as stupid as Trump claiming he invented the term "fake news".

I've heard of it too. It seems plenty of blacks and Latinos are breaking their chains also.
It's a new thing and fairly recent.

Movement against liberalism founder harrassed

The creator of a social media movement urging liberals to detach themselves from the Democratic Party said he was denied service at a camera store because of his campaign.

Brandon Straka started the "#WalkAway Campaign," which shares video stories of people who decide to dissociate themselves from liberalism.

Straka appeared on "Justice with Judge Jeanine" Saturday night and said that he tried to purchase camera equipment at a New York City store, but was questioned by the cashier.

"Are you planning to use this equipment for alt-right purposes?" Straka said the salesperson asked him.

He reminds me of the people that bitch because someone won't bake a wedding cake for them.
