I dont mind talking about it...
first, my grandmother passed away May of 2016, 2 months later we found out my MIL had cancer...
she was more of a mother to me than my own. We were very close, so it was devastating news.
Then worst of all, my beloved husband of 28 years was killed in a motorcycle accident while on a cancer
benefit run, Oct of 2016.
He came around and over a bend\hill and there were 3 deer in the road at dusk. There was nowhere
for him to go, so as a seasoned biker, he laid the bike down, but to no avail. He hit the deer and flipped, with
the bike landing on him each time. Each impact was in itself fatal. He was not speeding and was fully sober.
Its been the worst pain physically and emotionally and mentally that Ive ever felt or could even imagine.
Being a mother and having to see your children in that kind of pain, knowing there is not a damn thing you can do
to fix it, is even more devastating.
87 days later, his mom, my MIL, died.4 months after that, I hurt my ankle at work, and had to have a surgery that
that kept me in a wheelchair for over 4 months, unable to put any weight on it.
Its been a shit show yall. Some days I look in the mirror and think how the fuck are you still here and thriving and
Im so proud of my strength. Other days I look in the mirror and I fall apart and feel like I cant make it another day.
Im in a pretty good place most days, and so are my kids. Its been 2 years since Mike died and Ive gotten to the
point that I focus most days on the time we had not the time we didnt. I miss my best friend. I never wanted to be
this damn old and be unmarried etc....
SO...I got myself a bf 32 years younger than me that I have fallen for deeply. Ill never marry again, and he never
wants kids or to marry, so its perfect. Its a perfect fit.
Life is so unfair and ugly on the one hand and so beautiful on the other....always silver linings yall...always. xo
