This is the one thread I hate seeing new entries on. I read it only out of respect for the officers that gave their lives. I feel to ignore it is to minimize their and their family's sacrifice.
I don't know if there is just more publicity surrounding cop killings or if it truly is increasing in frequency. I have a feeling of fear whenever I hear about another one. Fear for all LE and our communities. That it's becoming to commonplace.
I was raised to have the upmost respect for all LE and that they were the keepers of our way of life. They were "a step above". It feels as if they are no longer revered in the manner they deserve.
They deserve all the accolades we give our troops fighting overseas. They are the troops fighting for us at home.
The only message I could possibly send to their famlies and their co-workers is a simple "I'm so sorry".
