Rich?, you are probably going to walk away scott free.
Poor?, sorry fuck you even if you didn't do it.
Michael Jackson and O.J prove its nothing to do with race.
Influence, power and prestige tip the odds in the favor of a defendant. Unfortunately, this is true beyond the borders and confines of the American judicial system. The US has better media coverage . . . and more courtroom cameras, too.
The race component is the standard fall back position when it is a crime of white on non-white. The alleged crime becomes secondary. It's strictly about race. Specifically: Racial Hatred.
Think Duke Lacrosse. Police Officer Richard Chrisman or Marc Furman. Remember . . . Furman was labeled a racist and OJ walked.
Protest occurs when the emphasis is focused on the color of the skin of the perpetrator and not the crime. "Evil Whitey". And to me . . . that is pure racial hatred and not the pursuit of justice.
Lohan violated probation and the charge was NOT bumped-up to a felony. How many brothers and sisters have violated probation and received similar treatment? So . . . why the silence? Where is Jackson, Sharpton or Wright? Clearly, this is an example of rich "whitey" enjoying a system designed to "keep the minorities down". Isn't it?
It is about the crime. Period. Where is the outrage by our huddled masses when the application of justice is seemingly arbitrary?
My position: If you are not willing to voice your outrage against those who don't administer justice BASED ON THE RULE OF LAW AND NOT BY THE COLOR OF SKIN, then shut the fuck up and stay home. White or non-white.
Justice is blind. That is the standard.
It's just a"little bit" stronger standard than colorblind.
