I can't mute the phone; I don't have working hours or anything like that -- available 24⁄7 (unless I have someone picking up my line for me and that's not often possible for the time being).
Sometimes it's not bad at all; other times it's a nightmare. It just depends on unpredictable factors. The early morning calls are the worst because it means employees are calling in sick last minute and I've gotta try to wake up others and arrange coverage. The middle of the night calls suck too because it usually means a serious client emergency. Usually during the day though, there's plenty of down time and I take advantage of it.
Anyway, enough of my boring stuff... So, what do you do when it's so cold outside -- do you hole up inside or what, Blanket?
