father just said on nancy that wife took and failed poly first. before him.
failing a poly is really a misnomer. one is either deceptive or it is inconclusive. or of course, not deceptive. it's just an investigative tool.

my question..a language problem? i don't know who administered it and whether there was a translator needed.

is he implying he failed because he was upset over her failing?

he sounds credible.

he also said he is not sure they failed. that makes some sense because they don't usually tell people results.

Reminds of Billie Dunn and Shawn Adkins. She says she failed a LDT because she just found out he failed a LDT. I didn't believe either of those "awesome" love birds.

In Breeann's case, not sure what to think yet. I don't think a language barrier would be an issue because the polygrapher would ask a lot of questions in advance of the test to get a baseline. Betting there was a bilingual polygrapher too, but who knows?

Sitting on the fence on this one, for now.... I am suspicious of one or both of the parents, but not convinced that they are involved.

LDTs certainly aren't fool proof, but sure not a good sign..
OMG!!!! I am so effin sick of monster parents! (Sorry...I just started following this case.)

it hasn't yet been established that the parents are "monsters"

i have a comment about them being out searching. normally LE will not let immediate family search through the woods/swamps/whatever so that they don't inadvertently find a body. and the other side of that coin is that they could tamper with a crime scene/evidence. yet i have a photo in this thread (post 68) of mom and dad slogging through the bushes. i question the wisdom of that.

I know LE recommends that parents (or any family members, in most cases) refrain from searching, but I don't think they can require family not to search. Tough call for the family, I'd imagine.

It's kind of a double edged sword. If they do search and they are not fully cleared, it looks suspicious if they happen to find evidence. If they don't search, it looks like they don't give a shit. I'd probably want to be out searching if it were my child, but pretty sure I'd follow LE's advice and stay home pacing and waiting for the phone to ring. Wouldn't want to be in the way or distract anyone if I had a total meltdown at the search site.

The training wheels - they just don't fit.

Why would someone plant them?
If someone was staging a scene, it didn't work because no one is drawing whatever conclusions the stager expected. Doesn't make sense.

If not staged, why the hell would an abductor remove training wheels and toss them by the side of the road? Makes more sense to me that the abductor would toss the whole bike (if dumb enough to take it in the first place). Maybe he/she/they did toss the bike and someone found it and thought it would be cool without the training wheels, removed them, and took the discarded bike innocently. Unlikely, but possible.

actually, LE controlling search areas can and does keep family or anyone else out. (assuming that was a search area). LE decides who will be allowed in area designated.

Got it LadyCop. Smiley_emoticons_smile

Clarification: if it's a volunteer or public search, rather than an official LE search, LE cannot demand that family members refrain from searching if they are not suspects, according to what I've read following other cases. I've read that LE usually advises against it for all of the reasons you posted above. I thought the Breeann searches in the field were conducted by public volunteers and there was some LE searching along side. I might have misunderstood...

Dad said he saw his daughter sleeping at 10 am when he left. I wonder if she wasn't sleeping, but dead or almost dead from some wretched abuse. (What time did they put their 3 year old to bed that she would have still been asleep at 10 am?)

Did anyone else see her alive and moving that morning besides her mom and brother? I can find statements where neighbors last saw her riding her bike, but none say WHEN they last saw her riding it.

The average accuracy is > 80% in almost all of the studies on polygraph accuracy annnnnnnnnnnd there may be two parents that failed the polygraph in this case. If so, this increases the probability that one of these parents is a monster. :(

http://www.polygraph.org/section/resourc...y-research
http://www.thepolygraphexaminer.com/poly...search.htm

Here are the studies supposedly blowing polygraph validity out of the water. On studies that showed that there was a high rate of false positives, the rate they considered to be high was only 15%. Uh...this is a low number. Here is another one: The APA surveyed 450 of its known to be crazy psychologists and these loons guessed (yes, they guessed) the accuracy rate of polygraphs was 65%....big effin whoop and the loons guessimated this. :insert loud farting noise here and throw this dumbass study out of the window, please).

Oh...and the bs about people failing a polygraph because they were stoned on benzos is just that: bs. Benzos relax/decrease physiological stress responses and therefore, are more likely to permit a subject to avoid detection of guilt/lie (contrary to what lying beotch and psycho-lover Billie Dunn spewed).

Maybe someone accidentally ran over the child, hid the body, and disassembled all of the damaged bike hoping the smaller parts wouldn't be found and, of course, found damaged.

Senath Police Chief Omar Karnes, left, talks with Edgar Rodriguez, right, father of missing 3-year-old Breeann Rodriguez, on Thursday afternoon.

SENATH, Mo. -- Authorities have found no new clues in the case of the missing Senath youth, and according to Senath Police Chief Omar Karnes, officials gathered this morning to plan the future of the search.
Thus far in the case, the biggest lead had has been the training wheels, which were found on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Karnes said he does not feel that the training wheels are from the child's bicycle, however, her father, Edgar Rodriguez, believe they are.

Rodriguez said he believes they are from his daughter's bike because of how he had manipulated the training wheels and bike to lower it for his daughter. He said the bend on one of the wheels matched what he did.

"I don't believe they are," Rodriguez said. "They are the training wheels. I know they are. I did something specific to them in order to make them workable with Breeann's bike. The way they were wore out on one side more than the other and the way they were bent in a particular place, there is no question in my mind."

"The dad said that," Karnes said. " There is no proof on that. No law enforcement has said that."

Karnes said the wheels are new, showing no signs of rust or age, and are currently at the state crime lab.

Authorities are still looking for a white van, however, Karnes said it is just a vehicle of interest.

Karnes said the rumors that are going around serve no good purpose, and only cause more grief for the family.

"We haven't found anything or have any real clues," Karnes said. "If you don't know, don't put it on [Facebook or other sites]."

When asked about the rumor of drug involvement, Karnes replied, "That is just a rumor, too."

Karnes said the Federal Bureau of Investigation has given polygraph tests to the parents, and he feels the parents are clear.

"I feel like they are [cleared]," Karnes said.

"[The FBI] said we failed the polygraph test," Rodriguez said. "To the best of my knowledge, they have turned their attention away from us and to somebody else due to the evidence that was found."

FBI Public Affairs Specialist Rebecca Wu was asked for clarification on the polygraphs, to which she replied, "It is Department of Justice policy that the FBI does not comment on polygraphs."

Karnes said he still cannot elaborate on the third piece of evidence that was found on Wednesday.

"I've heard from different people what it was," Rodriguez said, adding that he would rather not say what he has heard. "The FBI hasn't told me what it was. I think I may know the reason why. Maybe they are scared I would retaliate against a certain person or something like that."

interesting comment.

I appreciate you posting that. Gawd ....I hate to think parents killed or dumped their child that died accidentally. Maybe the parents failed the polygraph because they suspected a close friend or one of their close relatives was a perv, but they are hesitant to implicate him/her because of uncertainty?

Why throw her training wheels in a field? Weird. Maybe some sick eff just kept the bike as a very large trophy?

The dad says some weird shiite. Maybe it's only an English translation problem or he is just completely mentally distraught? Dunno.

Edgar Rodriguez said. "When I'm driving I just keep hearing her say 'Daddy I'm here.'"
My daughter never hurt anybody- anything that would help us get to her would mean the world to us."

Errrrr....of course his three-year-old never hurt anyone annnnnnd is he really hearing voices that aren't there (schizophrenia)?

I am stuck on the "my daughter never hurt anyone' statement. That is weird. Does he think she was taken as retaliation for someone he "hurt"?

It is an interesting comment by the dad regarding retaliation. Sounds like he might have some enemies whom he suspects know where Breeanna might be. I hope he and the mom are being totally honest about everything with LE.

I'm confused about the contradictions in the article. LE says they feel like the parents are cleared. Dad says he was told by FBI that both he and mom failed LDTs. FBI says they don't comment on LDT results. At the same time, Dad says he is 100% the training wheels are Breeann's and LE says they don't agree because the training wheels recovered look new. Yesterday an LE rep said the evidence found in the case is leading them in circles. I can see why.

Doesn't appear any of this is leading towards Breeann at this point. Hoping the third unidentified piece of evidence being tested sheds some light on things and Breeann is found soon.

gossip i have seen--->

crap. i'm not clear on this, who is the daddy? mom was married before, Bree may have different father, are these 2 married? i honestly don't know, and hope to get it straightened out. i wonder mainly because i would like to know if there is a bio-dad out there who might want to grab Bree. best-case scenario, she could still be alive.

I'm not sure ANYTHING is clear or verified at this point. There's so much misinformation it would be comical if a very young child weren't involved.

I can't tell if LE suspects the parents and is trying to play them or if the parents are holding back and possibly planting stories and evidence. It's not even clear or verified what the all-important bike looks like. LE's only released a stock photo of a bike that's "similar", but the text description in press releases doesn't match the photo very closely (no mention of flowers, no mention of large branding). Haven't seen any attempt by LE to release a replica of the actual bike. Maybe some of the bike details are being intentionally held back?

If the training wheels had not been removed, I'd feel more hopeful for Breeann. I could see someone taking the trouble to load up the bike if they planned on keeping the child. Those training wheels being found so close to the home is disheartening and puzzling.

SENATH, MO (KAIT) – Police are still searching for 3-year-old Breeann Rodriguez who has been missing since last Saturday. It is possible she may have been taken while riding her bicycle. Friday afternoon Breeann's father, Edgar Rodriguez, told our sister station KFVS that he and his wife have taken polygraph tests and authorities tell him they both failed those tests.

Senath Police Chief Omar Karnes said he doesn't know anything about those tests and is focused on finding the girl.

"This has probably been the worst week of my life," said Karnes.

The past several days have been difficult and very long for those searching for Breeann Rodriguez.

"I've got a child missing and that's not supposed to happen. I just can't find this child," said Karnes.

The search for the missing toddler has taken over the small town of Senath.

"We just don't know what happened. I can't understand why it happened. I just know that it did happen and we're trying to deal with it," said Karnes.

Chief Omar Karnes said a lot of things have gone through the FBI but he is feeling the financial, emotional and physical drain of this search.

"They're working any time I need them," said Karnes.

He does have three full time and five part time officers but most of the people searching are volunteers.

"Most of them have full time jobs and they search when they can. They say, ‘Hey you need us give us a call', and they'll be there," said Karnes.

Friday no one was out searching during the day but the images of missing Breeann Rodriguez are all around.

I searched Edgar's name on SearchNationalRecords. There are many with this name who have crimi records in AZ. How old do you think he is? 32? 36?

On this video the police chief says, "we got an odor" when questioned why the dogs were out in that field. Were these cadaver dogs or tracking dogs? I can't find this info anywhere.
