I don't lager much either. But in summer here it gets up above 120. I bought an old fridge at a garage sale for $50 and rigged it up with a fridgemate controller. My blichmann fits in it just neatly. All up less than a $100 and I only turn it on when I'm brewing. I like my ales clean to show the flavour and aroma of the hops. Works best for me at around 17-18C (62-64F) with yeasts like the Cali ale or Wyeast 1056, 1272 etc.
