Yuk. That was dinner?? That sounds like a side dish to me.
I always have 2-3 items at least on the plate. Main dish and something green (at minimum). If there's no starchy item in there, I add rolls or potatoes or something.
My son's palate has finally loosened up and he's eating almost anything I cook these days. He's on a health kick too so GONE are the days when I could take a freaking break and get him McDonald's or something. He won't even get take out from Chipotle's or anything. He's convinced that anything I make is going to be healthier. I hate to break it to him but that dijon/tarragon chicken we had the other night? Heavy whipping cream in there, bud.
He's even given up candy and all sweetened beverages.
I'm taking him to the doctor today. He's skinny as hell but worried about getting "fat". That's all I need...another kid...eating disorder. I'm hoping the doctor will talk some sense in to him--he's looking like a damn skeleton.
I'm tired of cooking and I'm ordering a pizza and salad tonight and unless his attitude changes, he won't eat any of the stupid pizza. He'll be foraging around for something healthier. La-de-da.
