Probably not. I think it should be handled the same way as alcohol. Legal to purchase over 21 years of age. If you are pulled over and are under the influcence, you get a DWI. I don't smoke pot and I rarely drink. I don't judge people who do. To each their own. But these things are not necessities like food so yes, it should be taxed at a higher level. I am sure some people feel it's unfair to "penalize" those that partake in ciggs and alcohol and I understand that. But I also feel that other things that are not a necessity of life should be taxed at a higher rate as well such as junk food and soda. You go to the grocery store and it's actually cheaper to buy a cart full of junk food than a car full of healthy food. Should be the other way around.
