SHELTON, Wash. —

An Amber Alert has been issued for a Shelton 16-year-old girl who may have been kidnapped overnight.
There were signs of a struggle in her yard and the screen on her window had been cut, said KIRO 7 Eyewitness News South Sound Bureau Chief Richard Thompson.

Viviana Gaspar-Guerrero is 5 feet 2 inches tall, 128 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a black sweater and shorts.

Gaspar-Guerrero was last seen in her bedroom at 9 p.m. on Tuesday. Her father, Salvador Gaspar, said he discovered she was missing at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

Chief Deputy Dean Byrd said the bedroom window was open and the screen had been cut. The room was in disarray.

were the parents unconscious??

The girl’s family told authorities they received an anonymous call saying their daughter had been found, but police said they have no information that leads them to believe that is true.

Investigators are tracing the origins of the call.

"If somebody took her, please return her," said Gaspar.

Byrd said investigators are canvassing the neighborhood. They have no suspects.

Anyone with information should call the Mason County Sheriff's Office at 360-427-9670, extension 313, or 911.

Police say Vivian Gaspar-Guerrero was last seen in her bedroom at her home in the 3200 block of W. Martin Rd. at 9 p.m. Tuesday evening and was discovered missing at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. It appears there was a struggle in the room, police say.

"Investigators found the screen had been cut, the window had been open and there had been a struggle of some sort inside the bedroom," said Dean Byrd with the Mason County Sheriff's Office.

The FBI is sending additional agents to home of missing #shelton 16-y-o girl. As a result, the media's being cleared to nearby fire station.

Police do not have any suspects or descriptions yet. FBI agents are assisting with the investigation.

Gaspar-Guerrero's parents reported her missing after they woke up this morning and found her empty room. She was last seen around 10:00 p.m. before they went to sleep.

Extremely worried about their daughter, Gaspar-Guerrero's parents said they have no reason to think Viviana ran away or ran off with someone. They said she is a good student wasn't cross with them.

Tearfully, her father pleaded for help in the case.

"Everybody out there who knows Viviana, if she's out there, could they please let us know," he said. "I just want her home safely. We love her."

A 16-year-old Shelton girl who was thought to have been abducted, prompting an Amber Alert, has been found safe, said Mason County sheriff's officials. She admitted to authorities she wasn't abducted and may have helped it look like a crime scene.

Officials said Viviana Gaspar-Guerrero had left her house on her own and was found at a friend's house north of Shelton Wednesday afternoon. Police said they don't believe the friend played any part in her runaway attempt.

"At this point, we're not sure she made it look like a crime," said Chief Dep. Dean Byrd, Mason County Sheriff's Office. "If she admits to that, she would be eligible for criminal charging, but at this point in time, we're still investigating."
