Tacoma police asked for the public’s help Thursday night in trying to find two missing boys -- 9-year-old Zabian Welcome and 11-year-old Jeffery Zupan.

Police said they are missing from the 5400 block of South Cedar Street in Tacoma, which is where Zabian lives. The boys were last seen Wednesday at about 5 p.m.
Tacoma police said the boys had words with a female caregiver at Zabian's home, and then the two boys left together. According to the caregiver, no such argument ever took place.

John Welcome, Zabian's father, told Q13 FOX News Thursday night that his son has been in trouble before and has run away but has never been gone this long.

The two boys frequent Wapato Park and Skip Vaughn Park, the police said.

Volunteer search parties were looking in Tacoma for the two boys Thursday night.

Jeffery Zupan is described as 4-foot-9, 85 pounds, light brown hair, brown eyes. He was last seen wearing khaki shorts, colorful shirt and black hightops.

Zabian Welcome is described as 4-foot-1, 75 pounds, blond hair, blue eyes. He was last seen wearing dark blue shorts.

Anyone with information about these boys is asked to call Tacoma police at (253) 798-4722.
