Voice of Elmo takes leave of absence
#21

Wooo. I didn't know there was a second guy.

Whenever I hear these type of stories I always wonder why they didn't speak up at the time, why wait so long to say something. It always makes me question the credibility of the accuser.

I still find this all too creepy. It would be like sleeping with a clown....I would find it awkward.

Elmo Sex Accuser Says He Was Pressured Into Recanting His Statement.

The man that accused Kevin Clash, the voice behind Sesame Street's Elmo, of sexually abusing him as a minor, is going back on his statements - again.

STORY: It Was Consensual! Elmo Actor Accuser Recants Abuse Allegations

Last week, 23-year-old Sheldon Stevens claimed that Clash, 52, had an inappropriate relationship with him involving sex when he was 16 year sold. The next day, Stevens recanted his statement, claiming that he and Clash shared "an adult consensual relationship." He also received $125,000 for issuing this statement and settling the case.

STORY: The 411 On The Dude That Took Down Elmo

However, now the young male model is claiming that he was pressured into a recantation, and that he was indeed sexually abused by Clash. In addition, he is willing give back the settlement money just to clear his name.

Do you believe Stevens' first charge that he was sexually abused, or the second claim he made saying that it was consensual?

Accuser Number 3.

At this point, no one should be surprised that a third accuser has come out alleging that Kevin Clash, the legendary voice behind Sesame Street's Elmo, was also sexually exploited by the puppeteer.

Over the past few weeks, Clash has been accused by two other men of having inappropriate relations with them while they were still minors. The first man, Sheldon Stevens, claims that he and Clash had a sexual affair when he was 15 years old and Clash was 32 years old. Later, he recanted his statement and claimed that they had "an adult and consensual relationship" for a settlement deal where he won $125,000. However, he then alleged that he was pressured to recant his initial charge of being sexually exploited.

A week later, another underage sex charge emerged from a man named Cecil Singleton, who is suing Clash for $5 million.

The latest accuser has remained anonymous and alleges that he and Clash engaged "in some sexual activity" when he was 16 years old back in 2000, according to his lawyer. He filed a lawsuit at a Manhattan federal court on Tuesday. However, Clash's lawyers have refuted his claim, stating that it has "no merit."

Things are only getting worse for Clash, who was forced to retire from his nearly two decade stint at Sesame Street earlier this month.

I don't question the validity of these claims, but the timing always appears to be opportunistic! Sesame Street Hood Rats !!!

A third accuser has come forward claiming he had sexual relations with Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash while underage.

The man, identified in court papers only as "D.O.," claims he began the physical relationship in 2000, when he was 16. In court papers filed Tuesday in New York City, he claims he met and spoke with Clash on a gay telephone chat line, and several days later visited Clash's New York apartment.
