VIA THE AP....

After nineteen years, a Pennsylvania man stands accused of drowning his wife in the couple's pool in 1993.

Jon Lang, 54, is charged with homicide after a witness recently came forward to say he saw Lang holding his wife Debbie under water using a pool skimmer after a party at the couple's Patterson Township home in June, 1993, according to the Beaver County Times.
The charge comes after a coroner’s jury heard testimony from the witness, Jamie Darlington.

The jury ruled that Lang's death was the result of a criminal act, according to KDKA.
“I just never believed it was an accident because the lady couldn’t swim and the pool was green, and it was like, who would want to go swimming in a pool like that,” neighbor Gloria Caler told KDKA. “At the time, I never thought it was an accident, but nothing ever came about it.”

District Judge William Livingston, who was the assistant police chief in Patterson Township at the time, said that, after the original investigation, the district attorney didn’t think there was enough information to get a conviction.

The Associated Press reports that Lang does not yet have an attorney, according to court records.

Seriously. If he actually did witness it, it seems like he ought to get in some trouble himself. Withholding information? Aiding and abetting? Something.
