I probably shouldn't expect her to be more effective at narrowing the gender pay disparity just because she's a woman, but I hope Hillary addresses the issue during her campaign.
I actually don't want to see the Fed interfere or regulate private business practices. However, if she's elected, maybe she could push some kind of equal-pay measure for Federal employers and get the ball rolling?
There's less disparity at the lower income levels due to wages being tethered to minimum wage rates. But even there, men make about 10% more than their female counterparts and the gap widens as the income level increases. It ain't cool.
